Camerons Smoking Chips - (Apple) Kiln Dried, 100% Natural Extra Fine Wood Smoker Shavings - 1 Pint Barbecue Chips

I have recently started cooking with Cameron's stove top smoker, and have been very happy with the results. I have used the apple chips for pork, and have combined them with alder for salmon, with excellent results. It takes just a tablespoon or two to impart a smokey flavor to food. Although it is a small container, the product will last for a long time because so little is used. The salmon has been moist, and filled with flavor each time. The pork reminds me of North Carolina BBQ which I dearly miss. Happy cooking!

Worked like a charm! I wanted this to test a DIY indoor smoker, so I could smoke my own salmon and scallops. Worked very, very well - just a tablespoon, and there was only a small pile of ash afterwards. Imparted a lot of flavor to my delicate fish and seafood.

Wow! What a great smoky taste to my food when I used these smoking chips. I used a couple tablespoons in my Cameron stove top smoker and smoked a cornish hen that was so juicy and tasty that I wanted to immediately try another flavor. I had combined the Apple and Pecan chips.The next time I used Hickory chips on chicken thighs but didn't like the flavor quite as much. Hickory would probably be better on a beef meat product.I love using this and look forward to the convenience of using Amazon.com to replace the smiking chips as needed.

I have a Big Green Egg and love smoking. I also have William Sonoma's The Smoking Gun which I really like as well. What I don't like is the difficulty finding WS's wood chips for The Smoking Gun. I purchased these chips is the hopes they would work effectively as a substitute. The texture is itendical and they work perfectly at a fraction of the cost. I will continue to buy these.

These work great in my Nordic Ware indoor smoker. They are fine, like shredded pieces of wood, not chunks or pellets.

Smoked some pork on the stove with these. Worked!

I used them to cook a 20 lbs turkey in the oven, they held great for all 24 hours they were in the oven

Burned fast and plenty of flavor. Small enough to fit in my kitchen smoker. Smelled like apple wood should.
