I have listened to Shamanic Dream I for about six months, and love the CD. But when my yoga teacher recently played Shamanic Dream II in class, I knew it was Shamanic Dream - it had that distinctic sound. Yet, it was better than the first and I knew I had to get it. I debated for a while - so many reviews said it was too similar to the first one. But since I loved the first one, I thought why not have more of a good thing?I was not disappointed. I love this CD for a number of reasons, but the main reason is it puts me in a completely relaxed mood. I am a regular yoga practitioner, but also a stay at home mom with all the din, stress, and drama surrounding the life of two small children. I put this CD on in the kitchen, and everybody and everything tones down. I can listen to my kids ask questions, make dinner, do a few rounds of Surya Namaskar A, all the while with the steady thump of Shamanic Dream II playing and it is like I have been given a sedative. In fact, tonight, I had to ask my husband to please not disturb my mellow and get out of the kitchen because he was rushing around in there trying to "help" with dinner. My breath slows down almost to an Ujjayi depth, dinner is completed, and everything is calm.The trancelike, methodical beat does not put me to sleep, but centers me, energizes me, and calms me all at the same time. Highly recommended.

I own many healing & relaxation cds. Some very good ,others pretty awful. After seeing so many glowing reviews I thought I'd give this cd a try. I listened to the clips and liked what I heard, but that happens a lot and many times you just get disappointed. This cd Shamanic Dream 2 lived up to the reviews and even more. As a musician and therapist what spoke to me was how relaxing and non jarring the tracks were. This level of consistency allows the listener to truly feel the experience without worrying about a possible jolt to one's nervous system. There is nothing more annoying than being freaked out while letting go. Unless of course strong purging is your intention. Also what I really appreciated was that although the basic themes of each track are repetitive, they are never boring because Anugama's instincts for this kind of music is fabulous.He will change little bits of instrumentation throughout the tracks in order to make it sound and feel interesting, while still being able to keep the healing rhythms consistent . To me that is how you can judge when someone really knows their stuff. Excellent work Anugama I look forward to your other cds.

I'm listening to Shamanic Dream as I write this. It is richly executed with layered textures from a variety of instruments. There is a nearly subliminal pulsating rhythm that follows in some fashion through the cd. I listen to this while I paint in my studio, while I drive long distances and even as I go to sleep. I can get into a "zone" that clears my mind where I don't feel time passing. Love it!

I play this cd during my energy medicine sessions for an enhanced experience. It carries you away and is healing to listen to.

Whenever I put this CD on, I am taken to another realm, without fail. My music collection is vast, and if I had only one CD to pick it would be this (or maybe Madman Across the Water by Elton John, it would be a tough call). I have given up loaning the CD out, they just never seem to come back :) . I just buy extra copies and give them away to folks I hang with. Never ever a negative review. I have both I and II, and I prefer II to such an extent that I have not played I in years. They are both worth the price.

If you are yoga teacher and do Yoga Nidra must buy for this if any one has difficulty sleeping play this music and bring your attention to the sounds you will get relaxed

Lovely lovely tape; organic natural flow of beats and sounds

I have other Anugama CDs so I knew I'd like this. I love the combination of the chanting and music. I find the music hypnotic, relaxing and re-energising. Highly recommended. Well packaged and promptly delivered.
