Finding a plus-size mermaid costume has, in the past, been a complete no-go. I was skeptical about this dress, but it is absolutely amazing! It fits well, though it's very snug in the body and I need to have it taken in just about an inch in the bust; just a couple of minor issues.For reference, my measurements are:Bust = 50"Waist = 50"Hips = 53.5"inseam = 31"I wear a Torrid 1x/2x, and Lane Bryant size 18, and I ordered a 6x in this because their sizes are labeled weird.But if you're a fat chick and have dreams of mermaid dances, do not hesitate - this dress rocks my world. It looks fantastic, I feel fantastic when I wear it, and it's great quality. Way better than I expected!

I am a music teacher who wears a 14/16 normally but needed this to be a bit loose since I was wearing it to a school function. I ordered a 3X and it would have stayed up without pins but I pinned it to a tan long sleeve undershirt anyway.The material is beautiful and it is forgiving. Very satisfied. My little students and my daughters loved dancing and taking pics with princess Ariel at our Halloween dance. Great costume for curvy ladies!

Stretchy & well-made, which is mostly good, but it slides down easily, so you might want to wear something underneath. We've had fun wearing this costume to play The Little Mermaid with our granddaughter. Because it's so stretchy, my son-in-law (Who is a great sport & wonderful dad) is even able to wear it to dress as King Poseidon!

Size is nowhere close to the sizing chart. If you return the item you will return it at your own expense.

Might make it into a skirt.

The top opening was so small I could barely get it over my head! It claims to be plus size but even smaller women might find this challenging! Not to mention what I had to pay for return shipping was half the item price! Don't bother its not worth it. Total rip off!
