Amazing looks, but bad craftsmanship.
As a budget display sword this product exceeded my expectations. The overall build looks great and doesn’t feel cheap while being held. The only complaints are with the obvious budget cuts in craftsmanship. Before I continue, please keep in mind that I’ve had this sword for about 4 years at this point. I felt compelled to write a review in light of recent events. To give some backstory, over the course of a few years I’ve taken a few practice swings in the air with the sword (even though it’s a display I like to give all of my swords some love once in a while) and I’ve never encountered any problems, however, today was different. While doing practice swings I accidentally nailed myself in the leg with the handle, not very hard mind you (barely hurt me at all). And do you know what happened? It bent the damn blade 20 degrees! A slight impact basically decommissioned the sword. I suspect that what’s holding the blade into the tsuba and tsuka is just a rat tail tang with a bunch of glue barely keeping it all together. This is fine for a display sword as it’s never meant to be used for anything besides eye candy, but seriously, this sword has no durability whatsoever. I imagine that any rough handling during the shipping process could result in it coming damaged. If you’re going to buy this then keep it on display and handle with care (don’t even do practice swings). I was lucky that my sword didn’t snap in half straight into my cranium, you may not be as lucky. 5/5 stars for display. 1/5 stars for durability.

Very cool
Great quality for the price the steel is actually very strirdy and could even be sharpened but the handle would probably fall apart at any major contact, cool decoration and you feel bad ass holding a Katna.

Great item
She turned 18 12/24, with many gifts. She has told us this is her best gift in 18 years. Her Saya (scabbard) was broken but she doesn’t want to part with it to return for a new one. Called Amazon to learn item is sold out. Amazon gave me full refund for inconvenience. Ordered wood glue and will try and fix. It’s like I got my kid back, cause she’s so mature this gift made her a kid again.

I change my review and add more stars
I originally gave 1 star because of the mixup in delivery dates. Even though it arrived after Christmas (2 days later than expected), the sword is very nice. So, I am adding more stars, because of the sword quality. It is a very nice sword and deserves more stars! I am still upset that it did not arrive on time as promised, because this was a special gift for my nephew and he did not receive it for Christmas as planned! Amazon many items I purchase I do so because of the date of delivery. That is how I choose some items over others. You and your vendors must do better with this.
