One of the last
Check out my previous reviews on this wonderful series. I watched the last episode several weeks ago, and I still can't get the soundtrack out of my head. British folk singer John Tams has done a masterful job of it, including acting one of the main parts. I find myself singing the theme, Over the Hills and Far Away, an old and actual song of the Napolionic era, that Tams has reworked for the series, until my wife demands I stop. After collecting all 16, I picked up the soundtrack CD, as well. There are a couple of compendiums, overviews, of the series, but they consist of scenes you'll already have seen in a rehash of the yarn, along with some of the "making of" bits. After awhile, those "making of" pieces all seem the same. I strongly recommend this entire 16-part series, but be warned, each episode runs a full 100 minutes. A marathon would take you 26 hrs 40 mins. It just seems much shorter. I can't wait to introduce my grandson to it.

Even thouth it lacked a wee bit it was still a good read
It was not quite up to par i. e. the rest of the Sharpe books. In spite of that I still liked it.
