My Personal Jesus
Do it, seriously, like right now. I somehow ended up with a Great Dane/ Pit Bull rescue dog. At 7 months old he nearly outweighed me and had 0 training. He would remove the photos from the wall and eat them. I never thought I'd own a shock collar. All my prior dogs have been a rewarding experience to train and I'm experienced with difficult dogs as well, piece of cake, right?. Yeah. Well after 4 months of my bawling and him destroying everything despite marker training and a lot of crate time, it became time to rethink a shock collar. After a lot of research and the recommendation of Leerberg I settled on an Educator Mini. Nothing mini about this bad boy. The day it arrived I charged it, and placed it on him. I didn't think I'd have it in me to shock him, but let me tell you what, when he jumped up on the kitchen counter and began eatting my dinner, with me standing right there. Jesus struck him down. When he opened the bathroom cabinet and started spreading trash all over, Jesus was watching. When he launched off the couch in an attempt to eat the ceiling fan, Jesus wept. This collar (with proper use and training, blah blah blah) turned water into wine. Seriously. It's been a year since I bought this collar and it's shaped him into one of the most rewarding dogs I've had. He very rarely needs the collar on anymore, but occasionally he needs to have his faith restored and gets to wear it for a day or two. I haven't shocked him in months, just putting it on him and using the vibrate feature is enough to remind him that Jesus is always watching. I've actually been using it on our deaf dog as a way to recall him from the yard, he associates the vibrate with a reward instead of punishment and gets a treat when he comes back to the house. Dual use. Very happy.

Solved 95% of problems in 1 week - Tricky to figure out at first, but results are worth it.
It took me awhile to really use this product consistently, but I'm glad I did. I have a stubborn bulldog mix that had lots of bad habits that were getting worse over time. I looked into sending her away to a local training camp that was very expensive. When I got their paperwork, one of the terms of agreement was you had to buy and use this model of training collar. Before spending thousands of dollars, I decided to try to train her myself using this collar and send her to camp if it didnt work since I would have to buy and learn to use the collar either way. Personally, I think they could make this product easier to use - I had to read the manual a few times and look at some training videos online. I was confused with the settings - I ended up following an online video of a dog trainer advising to just set it to M / C and start around level 24. I tested it on my hand - it doesnt hurt, just a buzzing really that makes my dog uncomfortable/anxious but not in pain. My dogs biggest problems were leash pulling, not listening to come/sit, jumping on our bed and - worst of all - aggression toward other dogs, usually while on walks. She progressed to such a bad attitude that she started snapping at my husband and I when we would try to make her do something she didn't want to do - usually, go outside for potty or get off our bed. I started using this collar to work on a few of the milder issues first- leash pulling, come and sit - before the big issues involving her aggression and challenging of authority. These were things I could do outside on walks, so I reasoned that if she took the collar training badly she would not necessarily associate it/ take it out on me or the home environment. I HIGHLY recommend that you leave the collar on for a day or so before using it and starting outside the home environment. You want them to think it's a natural consequence, and if they do get really scared at first you dont want them to associate that with you or your home. I was afraid her fear may make her more aggressive, so I didnt want to use it in my bed (where she snaps/challenges me when I remove her) or around other dogs at first for fear of making things worse. When I began to use the remote, I was unsure for the first 48 hours because she did have extra anxiety and I was not sure it was a good idea or if it would make her more neurotic. But, I stuck with it, taking my time, backing off a little bit and watching her and practicing walking, sitting, coming every day outside for 10-30 minutes. Whenever she pulled on the leash or ignored a command, I pressed it on until she corrected. When she pulled on the leash I pulled her back toward me, firmly but not aggressively, while pressing it. She learned very quickly that listening to my commands made the uncomfortable feeling go away - its not so much a punishment as a communication/queue for them to listen to the owner. Also I would reward her with positive reinforcement (treats and attention) on many of the times she would come or sit. In just a week she has improved 95%. Its amazing. She walks beautifully, comes, sits and stays without fail. After the first 4 days when her anxiety about the buzzing decreased, I started using it in the house as well for come/sit as well as not jumping on the bed and commands to go outside for potty. Since she was already used to the corrections, this went fine. Today on a walk we came across other dogs, usually a scenario that brings out her very worst - barking, yelping, jumping, snarling and snapping. Using the skills we have been practicing, I ordered her to sit and stay while letting the dogs pass on the other side of the road. The couple times she was too excited to listen, I used the remote to buzz when she didn't sit right away and that got her attention to listen to me and sit. It's a simple thing, but a miracle to anyone that knows my dog - I used to only walk her with a muzzle and with helper because she could get so out of hand. I have gotten knocked down and scratched before when she would get excited trying to lunge at a dog or squirrel - she is very strong. Now walks are actually fun! I suggest learning to use this, watch online videos, read some dog blogs (my favorites are 'the good dog' and 'dog gone problems'). Also important to practice fundamentals of 'petting with a purpose' and making them wait for a command to eat, things I started doing a few months before the collar training that didnt solve everything but I think helped prime the dog to see me as the leader. I cant emphasize enough to start slow with the remote to avoid freaking the dog out - a lot of bad behavior comes from anxiety and fear, you don't want to make it worse. You want to make it feel like a natural occurrence they can control and give them time to get used to it - in my case, she learned very quick. Good luck!

2 collars, both failed
I’ve had two of these collars in less than a year and a half and they both have had issues. First collar I received when I signed my dog and myself up for some training. The collar came with the training and it worked great when I first got it. After about 5 months it just stopped working. Didn’t matter how high you set it to nothing would work except the light and vibrate function. I bought another one in May of 2018 and by November the dial that adjusts the strength had quit working leaving the controller set on one setting. Even now it’s gotten to where it doesn’t appear to be working half of the time. Bought an expensive collar because I wanted it to last and was terribly mistaken twice. Will not buy again and highly recommend that anyone reading this buy from a different manufacturer

A miracle for our reactive dog....now calm !
This is absolutely incredible and an absolute life saver. I bought this as a final chance to help our extremely reactive whippet. Days out with him have been a disaster and always ended in an argument, we left him at home and he developed separation anxiety. Therefore we couldn’t take him out or leave him at home. Then after watching Jeff Gellmans videos on you tube I knew I had nothing to lose. He walked to heal in a few minutes and after three days we could walk past dogs without any reaction. The worst we get now is a tiny moan but just using this shows him to calm down and watch me. It is a miracle. My family can not believe the difference. I would give this 100 stars if I could. We love it and now have a super calm, well behaved whippet who respects me. He walks past dogs now and we all enjoy great days out. Get it if you want to stop unwanted behaviour. We only use level 9 as the highest out of 100. It is so humane and the best tool ever to communicate to your dog. Used correctly, this is incredible, especially for reactive dogs. I had tried everything .....this is worth every penny.

Super impressed with this product
First off, I will say that I have a rescued two year old Golden Retriever from Turkey. He knows his commands, but simply ignores me and basically does what he wants. Very stubborn dog. I think he is just used to running free in the streets. Also a typical Golden that will fetch, bring the ball back but not release it. I read many, many reviews on these shock collars. I was not wanting to "shock" my dog or hurt him in any way. I watched every single YouTube video I could find on how to use this device properly. I even put the collar on myself and tried it. The device has a "shock" range of 1-100. I had it set to 8 and used it on myself. All I could feel was a very small pinch, much like you would feel with a tenze machine at the doctors. It didn't hurt at all, it simply "got my attention". I still didn't want to "shock" my dog. This device has another feature that does not shock at all. It has a vibrate feature. Much like those pagers we wore years ago. It simply just vibrates like a cell phone. WOW, does it work. We have only had two 20 minute training sessions with it. After only the two sessions, my dog comes on command AND will drop the ball at my feet WITHOUT me having to hit the vibrate button anymore. I just am astounded at how good it works. This gives me and my dog a whole new life together. He can now go leash free and he walks very near to me without taking off. The collar is waterproof, so now he can swim without me worried that he will swim to the middle of the lake and not return. Before, he was swimming on a 50ft rope. Now, no rope at all. Also, he is a barker in the backyard when another dog passes. On push of the vibrate button and zero bark from him. This is like a gift rom God. Worth every single penny. We tried everything with this dog and this is the only thing that works and the results are immediate. Thank you Mini Educator for giving me and my dog a better life together.

One of the best remote training collars there is
E-collar technology inc has created an E-collar that uses blunt stimulation, similar to that of a TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) unit that physio therapists use to rebuild muscle after a surgery for example. Used correctly it is a communication tool that allows you to, if used and taught correctly, give your dog controlled freedom, even over long distances. (This model allows for up to 1/2 mile) The quality of this E-collar and their customer service, is absolutely excellent. IF you are to use a remote training collar, use this one and not a cheap £40 knock off, as they are not as subtle in their deliverance nor as reliable. You can find free training videos at Ecollar.com (Manufacturer)
