A story about puppy love.
It's cute, and it was predictable. This doesn't need to be a whole book. Once upon, a time a boy got cheated on in high school and vowed never to love again. He goes to college, falls in love and cheats on his girlfriend, feels bad about it. The end.

The importance of being earnest.
Almost every woman secretly wants to know a man who can emote. The kind of guy who isn't afraid to be honest about what he feels, to cry when we touch his heart, to make us laugh at his mistakes because he is so loyal and human. Derrick Jaxn has written a book about such a man and I have to confess the book was not what I was expecting. Mr. Jaxn has a writing style that is easy to absorb as well as be amused by. His protagonist's often flawed but common sense approach to his life experiences are believable and understandable however wrong or misguided they are. His enthusiastic and humorous approach endears us to him. He manages to make us care deeply about him even when we know he is in for a world of pain whether or not it's well deserved. The other characters in the story didn't resonate with me in the same way our hero did. There was often a one-dimensional quality to the actions of some key characters that made me want to understand them better. At times that lack of connection I felt with a supporting character's motivations or story made the book lag for me a bit in a few places. The ending is open-ended but in the best possible way. I'm interested in what's next for Shawn but whatever it is I'm sure it will be a heartfelt journey.

Derrick Jaxn caught my attention from the start. A heated page turner!
“A Cheating Man’s Heart” - My bottom line conclusion that I came to when reading this book is that trust is such an integral part of every relationship… be open enough that they don’t think any area is closed off to them.Derrick Jaxn rose to the challenge with great skill in this accomplished, heated and thoughtful debut novel. The events are realistic and the story is so engaging that it made me think of what I would have done had I been placed in the same position as these women. The plot was not obvious, which gave me something more to look forward to with each turn of the page. The credible fact is you can see the growth of each main character throughout the story. The only dislike I have is how short the novel was, but this does not discredit how grand of a story it is. To sum up, order the book and experience it for yourself, because it truly is that… an experience like no other.…Looking forward to the sequel.

Interesting Perspective
The end of that session helped me look at things in my life & relationships & relate to them & it gave a great perspective on myself & the men I’ve been dealing with. What I’ve been doing is not who I am. I have a testimony in my situation that others can learn from if I share the wisdom I’ve gained throughout all of this. Thank you Derrick Jaxn! You are awesome, great book & I love following him on YouTube. He is my go to & whenever I am dealing with something, I revisit the videos that apply & gain great wisdom.

Once a Cheater?
I enjoyed reading Derrick Haxn's book about a young man's journey to self-awareness and the realization of how his actions impact others. It was refreshing to read from the male character's view of a relationship, rather than the woman as victim. Too often book relationships are weighted down with lies, secrets and betrayals that only lead to more lies, secrets and betrayals. Although I admit I enjoy the roller coaster ride that these stories take you on, I enjoyed a story that makes you see the promise in relationships and people. This is a must read for women and men! I can't wait to read part 2!

Dealing to understand relationships .
I whish I have this book when I was in High School dealing with other guys who were just seeking pretty girls and nice body instead of the intelligence a woman can affer a man who is not willing to give you their time and company .good book for someone who is dealing with not loving one self .

Not all it was hyped up to be
Saw all the online hype about this book so I decided to purchase it and give it a read. It was underwhelming to say the least. The book basically was the regurgitated story line of a man hurt from love in adolescence and vowing not to love again. If you like this type of stuff then go ahead and purchase but if you're looking for a book from a fresh perspective then this is not it.

I liked it.
It wasn’t epic, but I enjoyed it. I follow the author on social media, so I went in expecting a man to mess over a good woman, but he did offer some twist and turns, so that was pleasant. That ending definitely makes me want to read the second book! Talk about cliffhanger because honestly that was the one question I was left with.

Real emotions
Once I started I couldn't stop, finished the book in two days, which was deliberate, I was trying to stall by doing other things. I definitely recommend this .

omg
This author is amazing his so in tune. Must admit I'm a book worm so after a while you expect this style of book to be predictable. But with some unexpected twists it keeps you on your toes. My advice order the 2nd before you finish as I waited a week for the second to arrive and refused to start another book!

Excellent
I haven't read such a good book in a long time! Didn't think all the other reviews were true but they were. I love the story line, it rang true to real life, I love the reference to my own musical and lifestyle choices. Well written to the point where the message was so subtle you didn't even have to think about it but it was getting through to you at the sane time. Can't wait for the next book, the cliffhanger is too much lol!

Awesome!
Many can relate to this story. Whether you are a man or a woman and going through (or have gone trough) something similar. It is heartbreaking yet a story that happens on a daily basis. We all need to learn to respect on another but most of all, respect ourselves.
