Very cute, takes a bit of practice
Just received today. It took a few tries to get everything in place and adjust the water flow - at first it was way too strong and water went all over. You have to find the flow switch on the pump. Once I'd turned it down it stopped slopping over the sides and so far it isn't leaking. Mine is also very quiet. You do have to make sure there is enough water, if the pump isn't submerged it may be noisy. I'm hoping my cats drink more water with this, once they stop skulking around it suspiciously.I wanted something not made of plastic, and this is very solid. I don't know if the ceramic parts are dishwasher safe, I asked this question but didn't get a real answer (note to people who reply to questions: "Sorry, I don't know" is not helpful). I hand washed it before using but it is a little difficult to fit an adult hand inside to really scrub it, not impossible, just a little awkward. The little goldfish in the bowl are adorable. Also, I ordered this in black and it's really more of a very dark espresso. It doesn't bother me but someone else might be annoyed.

The cheapest, worst thing I’ve bought on Amazon.
This was really the product that made me realize I have to do hours of research for everything I buy on the internet. I do not recommend this to ANYONE.Pros:• It’s cute. That’s it. Looks just like the picture. That’s literally it.Cons:• Weirdest cat water fountain I’ve ever had the experience of setting up. You have to kinda cut what looks like a glue stick type thing. It is NOT long enough in the first place so the removable top piece will not flow water unless you have it set up perfectly.• Broke after 2 months. Seriously. 2 MONTHS. It just stopped working. I moved plugs, changed the box the plug plugs into. Nothing. It was done.• Even when it DID work, I hated it. The water never flowed right. It was built by someone who lives in a different gravity level than we do. My cat did drink out of it, but he would drink out of a ditch so take that as you will.I do NOT recommend this. I just bought a less cute version at petsmart. It works perfect. Get those instead.

Good idea, bad execution
Most bowls are too big for a household of only one pet, and I needed a non-plastic bowl to avoid cat chin acne (which happens to some cats from plastic). When I saw this, it was just the right size and ceramic, so I bought it. I found it had a relatively small footprint - just what I wanted. However, assembly was very tricky and frustrating. The pump just "floats" inside the water, rather than having a specific place to affix it. It made assembling this bowl a nightmare, because the pump just keeps moving around. This causes loudest, worst high pitched noises I've ever heard from such a little thing. If I lower the water level, try a better placement of the pump (almost impossible for something that freely moves in the water), and place it on a towel, the noise does go away. It is such a pain, because I have to do this every time I clean it out. If only the manufacturers had designed an anchor for this pump, this would have been perfect. WIthout, it is just not worth it.

Poorly designed, but the cats love it
We have four cats, three of whom LOVE running water and will constantly beg from it, and all previous attempts to get them to drink from fountains haven't worked. This one was cute, promised to be quiet, and was cheap enough that we were willing to give it one last shot. The fountain's design is attractive, but not very practical. While it fits nicely into the fountain base and is very quiet, the pump is a little too strong for such a small device and sends water past the spout and down the sides of the bowl. The lotus's spout doesn't make a very good angle for drinking, either. Our solution, after much trial and error, was to prop the lotus up on the pump's cord and redirect the flow of water from the plastic tubing with a cocktail shaker's cap. It still leaks, hence the plastic tray beneath it, but much less so.Despite all of this, the cats love it. They dip their paws in the water, drink from the spout and the bowl, and lick the porcelain clean of drops. We refill it daily and give it a solid scrub at least once a week. It runs almost 24/7 with no signs of breakdown yet. Our eldest Willow will guard it like a dragon guards her horde, lazily swatting away potential thieves and passersby. It's the only fountain we've encountered so far that they've used and hasn't broken after two weeks.TL;DR: this fountain will absolutely leak, though you can prevent some of it with jerry-rigged solutions. It's quiet and runs well even with near-constant usage. Our picky cats have deemed it the only worthwhile fountain we've ever tried, so we're keeping it.
