I LOVE this little gadget. The first one that I bought had a faulty charging port that was lose and wouldn't take or hold a charge properly. It was very easy and quick to have it replaced for free by Amazon, and the second one that was delivered works perfectly.Pros:- Hot surfaces aren't exposed. I have small children in the house, so this is a major plus for me.- Curling is much simpler and faster than with a traditional iron. I thought the basic mechanism of curling hair around a wand was simple and fast, but with this it's literally just pressing a button and your hair twirls up automatically without any fussing whatsoever. I seem to get through all my hair in about 75% of the time or less than a traditional iron.- No wrist fatigue.- Portability. This is really perfect for travel, or even just tucking in your bag if you have to look amazing for an evening event after work.- Cordless - If you're somewhere where you can't use a plug-in iron and don't want to burn yourself or burn the building down, this is REALLY handy.- Handles long hair -- mine is about elbow length and this handles it just fine.- And finally, the result: Beautiful, shiny smooth curls all the way down to the ends.Cons:- I'm not convinced it really holds a charge for 1.5 hours as claimed. I think it's more like 40 minutes (that's when the battery indicater starts to drop rapidly), but that's plenty more than enough time for me to curl my whole head of hair twice.- The lowest temperature is 320 degrees. Sometimes I like a much lower temperature (240ish) just to smooth out my fine hair without risking so much damage, but this isn't the tool for that.- Less versatile curling options -- This is a pretty versatile machine, but if you're looking to really sculpt your hair into a highly styled look, this will get you about 90% of the way there. I like a vintage wave, and can get that quickly and easily, but the front Veronica Lake peekaboo piece in the front isn't quite as easy to achieve with this. If you are one of those people who likes to leave the ends out of their curls, that might be tricky with this too.Overall, I really just love this machine. It was a splurge for me, but I'm really pleased with it and I feel it was worth the money.

This far exceeded my expectations! I have very fine, thick, long hair that generally, won't hold curl, even with a ton of product. Just to see how it really works, we tried it without any product before or during curling, & only used a light hairspray after. My curls held nicely (although did relax) over 2 days. For my hair, that is incredible!!It works VERY quickly, because normally I have to hold my hair in a curler under it's so hot it can't be touched & it has to be at least hair sprayed while held in the iron. It takes hours for the normL process to curl my hair! Obviously, I didn't take the time to do that much. This took less than an hour! Again, incredible!Finally, if I had any complaints, it would be that I wish it could handle longer hair. We had to start a bit down the length, so it would get all the way to end curled. However, my hair is nearly waist length in the back, so it's really not a big deal. It still managed to do most of the length.Finally, it wasn't fully charged (maybe 3/4) when we started & it used little of the battery while working. It would probably last through 3-4 sessions for my hair on 1 charge.

I was so excited for this hair curler, but it was a HUGE MISTAKE. It has eaten my hair TWICE. The safety feature DOES NOT WORK. I followed all of the instructions carefully, I was only using a small section of hair and it was carefully combed through before I started using the curler. But still some internal mechanism snagged my hair and when my hair became stuck on it, it just kept spinning! Further twisting and tangling the knot until it began to pull on my hair and I finally realized what was happening. It kept spinning until I let go of the button! It did not automatically shut off! I then had to forcibly pull my hair out. Because part of my hair was so wrapped around the internal mechanism there was no way to get it out other than ripping it out of my head and then pulling it out of the curler. It took a HUGE chunk of hair!! And this happened TWICE!! The first time it happened I thought it must have been a fluke, but now I realize this is a mechanical default with the product. The internal mechanism gets hooked on the hair while it spins and the tangle safety feature does NOT work!!! Please do not buy this you will lose your hair. Every review that tells you otherwise is a lie put there by the seller. PLEASE do not buy this!! I am telling you after what happened to me and the way this product is designed, it WILL eat your hair. Don't do it!!

I typically curl my shoulder length hair with a flat iron but wanted something to speed things up. I feel like this is a pretty decent tool.It makes a nice curl and takes less time than my flat iron. Good heat options. It’s a little wonky to use but I’m sure with time, it will seem less clunky.I wasn’t able to get the shorter under layer to curl. Just not long enough for the spinning part to grab the hair. I ended up having to use my flat iron.Really, what I could see being the biggest inconvenience is the battery life. Even after charging overnight, there was only one bar remaining as I finished my hair. I can’t imagine someone with thicker hair being able to get all of their hair done before the battery dies.If at any point Conair revamps this, maybe a way to get shorter layers curled and a longer lasting battery
