I love going to our local Dollywood Splash Country water park. It's huge and always packed with lots of people. I bring a duffel bag with all of my water park needs. Including my credit cards/cash, ID, driver's license and of course, my S7 cell phone. It is very cumbersome to try to carry a duffel bag around this water park and protect your valuables and keep them dry. So thanks to the SafeBest bike lock it is no longer a problem or worry. I purchased two small combination locks (for zippers) and two bike locks...all colored PINK. ♥Now I use this bicycle lock to lock down my duffle bag safely and securely to my lounge chair or a pole, whatever's convenient. I'm free to wander all over the park and enjoy all the water activities. Knowing that my valuables will be there, where I left them, and when I need them. This SafeBest bike lock is the SAFE solution. It's very well made. The combination bar is a nice size to hold in your hand. I'm able to dial in the combination quickly. It's easy to see the mark for the numbers unlike traditional combination locks. So far it's been a success! I'm also sure it would lock down your bicycle safely too LOL. I definitely recommend this product.

Fine for our purposes.....HOWEVER, the bracket that holds the lock/cable will not fit every bike. It is too small for my son's bike. The bracket is designed to clamp around the frame. Inside the clamp, is a rubber sleeve to prevent the bracket from sliding around. With the sleeve installed, the clamp is just too small in diameter. With the sleeve removed, its way too big. I intend to find some sort of thinner rubber material in order to make a sleeve that will allow the clamp to be installed on the bike.With that said, my son currently just rides the bike with the cable lock wound around the underside of the seat.The lock itself works as advertised. Keep in mind that we were looking for a basic lock that would deter your garden variety, opportunistic scumbag from riding off with the $200 bike. The cable is nothing that a pair of bolt cutters or even heavy duty cable cutters wouldn't defeat. So if you have a $1000+ bike, and you're looking for something to deter a determined bike thief.......keep looking and spend more money. This isn't for you.If you're just looking for something basic (like we were), its great. Easy to set and easy to use. Offers 'enough' protection for our cheap bike in a low crime neighborhood.

After having my previous bike stolen I wanted some safety in place. By purchasing this chain lock chain it has made a difference it expands when I need to attach it to a pole or a bike rack also you are able to set what numbers you want for the combination of the lock which makes it nice you don't have to worry about a key or remembering some weird number you set up the number I have been very happy with it it is durable strong plus I'm able to attach it to my bicycle and it just hooks right on the handlebars

Very pleased. Easy to set my own combo, appears to be a strong lock and cable, at least a strong deterrent. Length is good for my bike and the retaining clamp fits my bike downtube well. Secondary use I have for it is to retain my motorcycle protective gear. I thread the cable through my jacket sleeve and pant leg, then lock the clothing to the MC frame. Provides some security and takes up little space in my storage compartment. Coated cable does not scratch the paint.Update 12/16/15. Still very please with this lock. Use it all the time on my motorcycle to retain my protective jacket when I don't feel like wearing it into some place. Cable is threaded through the frame and when I remove my jacket I open the lock and pull the cable through one sleeve, then lock it back up thereby holding jacket to bike. Then I drape jacket over seat. Today while I was shopping someone disturbed the jacket, perhaps they had plans to carry it away. However the cable lock prevented that from happening. Little lock saved me a pile of cash! I am grateful.

I have had this lock for almost 2 years. While my bike was never stolen while using this lock, there is at least one reason why I would never repurchase this lock.After a few months of use, the gears became very stiff and would not rotate. Today, the lock is unusable because the number mechanisms will not budge at all rendering it completely useless.This lock has not been left outside exposed to the elements either. It is not rusty and it's not gunky.Perhaps I got one that was poorly made, but my previous lock was much better.

Let me just say that customer satisfaction is SafeBest's focus! I had issues with Amazon shipping the wrong color...not once, but twice so I emailed SafeBest "Duncan" to tell them and within hours I had a reply and a new lock being shipped out to me. So, now that we own a few of these locks let me get tot he quality. We find these locks to be of good quality. The dials are easy to turn and instructions are easy to follow to set and reset. The lock holder is sturdy and does it job. I am sure we will get much use out of these locks and I have the utmost confidence that if we don't, the company would be responsive.

Pros: If you want maximum protection this is not the lock for you. However, if you want something light and suitable for securing your bike while at the beach or on a quick grocery run, it comes highly recommended. I don't even use the carrier clip because it the lock fits into my bike bag like they were made for each other.Cons: None I could find, except that someone could cut the cable easily with a bolt cutter. Perfect for keeping the random jerk from riding off on a whim, but not nearly strong enough to stop a determined criminal.
