Works great on Bolt EUV
We were fortunate to have purchased a house that had had a Tesla charger already installed. Unfortunately, we couldn't quite swing a Tesla. While the EUV is a decent car and Chevy offers a free installation program, almost a month later it's yet to be installed. The wife and I work opposing schedules so we effectively have two commutes a day that adds up to 140 miles. A wall outlet was not going to get us enough charge to make it through the next day.As such, this little device has been a godsend. Followed the instructions about hooking the adapter to the charger for at LEAST 30 seconds before plugging into car. Once plugged in, it takes a moment for the car and charger to complete a handshake but it begins charging and will usually be fully charged before the evening is through. We don't remove the adapter and has worked great so far. Once the Chevy charger is installed, we plan to stow the adapter in the car so that way every charger station is now an option should we choose to travel with it.

Works perfectly! My wife and I share one charger
I bought this in 2021 so this is my long term review. I have a Tesla Model Y and my wife bought a Toyota RAV4 Prime which is a plug-in hybrid. We have a Tesla home 240v wall charger installed in our garage. When she bought the RAV4 I thought that I was going to have to install a separate charger to use with her car, but I found this adapter on Amazon and took a chance and ordered it. We have been using it successfully to charge her car since 2021 without any issues, and just take turns using the Tesla wall charger for our cars. There have been no issues with it at all, it is well constructed and couldn't be easier to use. You just plug one end into the Tesla charger cable and the other end into the Toyota. Great solution which saved us at least $1,000 for a purchase and installation of a separate charger.

Fire hazard. Overheats and dangerous.
I use my Tesla home charger to charge my Ford Lightning with this adapter. After a few months the adapter would overheat and cause the charging station to stop working. I would have to reset it. The adapter would be so hot that I would have to wear gloves to unplug it. It would smell like electrical wires burning. I contacted the company right away to get assistance. They would not acknowledge the problem. I asked for a replacement as this was faulty and very dangerous. John denied replacement. I would think because of how dangerous this can be with starting a fire they would want it back. I have emailed John and the company multiple times requesting a replacement. They refuse. I understand products can be defective but manufacturers stand behind defects. Unfortunately these guys do not. Do not buy this as it’s a fire hazard!

Great product, works as advertised!
Had it about three weeks now. Love this thing so far. I own a Chevy Volt and the house we rent came with an installed Tesla wall charger. Hooked it up to Tesla plug, plugged in to car, BAM. Power charging Level 2.Pros:- Durable construction. Has protective caps for both ends and the plastic and rubber used is strong. I’m not worried about bumping and damaging the adapter like I am with the 120V charger that came with the car.- Easy to use. Literally plug and play.- Small. Easily fits under a seat or in stowage bay for travel use.- Utility. Paired with the right system is cuts charging time down dramatically and makes multiple EV trips possible for vehicles like mine with lower EV range.- Convenience. Works with a wide range of inputs unlike a lot of other adapters.Cons- Upfront cost. Way cheaper than installing a whole unit, but still an extra cost against fuel savings that delays the break even point. The power company here offers a $200 rebate for buying an EV so it offsets the price of this unit.Other notes: Shipping got its wires crossed and went to the wrong place somehow - pretty sure that was Amazon’s fault. Delayed arrival a couple days. Nothing on select or product, just expectation management in the event yours goes to the wrong state too. Still have an EV adapter that arrived at my door in less than a week... so really happy and nothing to complain about!

Simple & effective for charging a Bolt from Tesla Charger
The Tesla Wall Connector is a high quality device for charging our Tesla. (It's much better than the device that comes with the Bolt.) Wiring and installation, of course, were the bulk of the expense so we wanted to reuse that. When we added a Chevy Bolt to our home, we needed a new solution. The Lectron clicks into the end of the Tesla connector. Wait a few seconds for them to make friends, then plug into the Bolt or any other car with a J1772 connector. It delivers the expected 32A to the car and will charge it in a few hours. On the Bolt, a green light visible atop (not on the driver facing side) the dash will show it's charging so confirm that before walking away. It can stay on the cable until you next need it,. Or push the red button to break it away.It doesn't add much bulk or weight to the already bulky and heavy cable. Not a lot of instructions or tomfoolery needed. The two ends plug the only place they can plug and it Just Works.
