Good Soup
This instant soup is definitely one of the best I've had.

Were the veggies collected from the sink drain?
I was so excited to try this because I love Tom Yum soup and wanted something convenient for work, but this has to be one of the worst things I've purchased from Whole Foods. At first I was just mildly grossed out by the appearance of this ramen, because it literally looks like dirty dishwater and the bits of vegetables look like the crap that gets collected in a sink drain. So gross but I hate wasting food. Noodles themselves were alright but definitely took longer than 3 minutes with boiling water. Then after it sunk in, I was pissed off because the label includes all these dried vegetables as part of the ingredients list. Fellow customers, the vegetable bits are MICROSCOPIC. What irks me is that it feels like the company is trying to squeeze every bit of profit that it can from these subpar ramen cups, so you're left with vegetables bits the size of grains of sand. Freeze-dried vegetables aren't even that expensive, and they rehydrate well with hot water! So why the stinginess!!Buy if you have to due to dietary restrictions, otherwise I urge you to go for a different brand.

Flavor
I am desperately looking to expand my gluten free options.I was very disappointed seeing how little was in the container. The price? Ouch.Then... when it was cooked... the noodles didn't absorb the flavor... at all.I have had much better taste when eating the glass noodles/ mung bean. This is not itMuch happier with the Mama gluten free thai noodles.

All the right flavors, but not quite enough
I was home with a tummy ache and wishing for a very light broth type of soup I could enjoy, that was also gluten free since I'm sensitive. I hadn't had ramen in years for this reason, so I was delighted to see gluten free ramen options. The quality of ingredients was very good as well. Unfortunately, though, the flavor was a little too bland.Specifically, there wasn't enough of the flavor packet to taste it very much. I bought two, so I just took the flavor packet from the second and added it to the first. Once I added two flavor packets instead of just one, it was delicious!! Full of flavor and spice but not too spicy. Another time I just added a little soy sauce and fish sauce, and that punched up the flavor perfectly as well. So that's a note for the company... The flavors are delicious, just add a lot more to the packet! :) I bought a few flavors so I'll try them next.Final note... The cup is only half full. The noodles and broth do not fill the cup. I'd honestly rather pay more for a full cup than for a cup that is half full. For my purposes it was fine, but not on a regular basis.

Good ingredients, but too bland
This was an impulse purchase, and it was a waste of money. I love ramen, and I was interested in this because there aren't very many instant options available for vegetarians. I was very excited about it because it seemed like easy prep at work- I have an electric water kettle, and all I had to do was add the boiled water and wait. The easy prep is about the only good thing I can say about this product, which was otherwise very disappointing. It tasted like spicy water with a hint of lemon. Absolutely no flavor. Maybe if I had been home I could have improved it with seasonings, but I prepared this while at work and I didn't have anything available to add in. I thought maybe I had filled it with too much water, leading to blandness, but after dumping the soup I double checked. I had filled it to the correct level, so there wasn't any error in the preparation process. It was just created bland. Also, for anyone who wants to purchase this product anyway despite the lackluster reviews, I recommend letting it sit for longer than the 3 minutes stated in the directions. My noodles weren't cooked all the way through after my timer went off. I recommend 4 or 5 minutes.

Quick and healthy alternative to the mainstream Ramens
With jaded eye, I reviewed the ingredient list online before purchasing. Commercial Ramen is notorious for degraded flours, high-salt content, and multi-syllable additives. Nothing alarming in the ingredient list and actually a pleasant surprise what was listed. Following the package directions, the ramen reconstituted nicely. It's a good, hearty base for a quick meal. Consider throwing in more vegetables and some tofu or meat if you like. I left mine as-is, but juiced up the seasoning a wee bit with a splash of lemon juice, a dash of toasted sesame oil, a teaspoon of ginger juice, and a shadow of fish sauce. I will definitely buy this again as stand-by, especially during the fall and winter months, for a quick, hot meal.
