Athena Black Manual Citrus Juicer Model 97346

This seems like a great product, but in just a few days past the seller's guarantee time, the entire handle broke off. My daughter-in-law is a very careful person and followed all instructions. The seller shook off our complaint - suggesting that we contact the manufacturer - in China!!! I think that the problem is with the seller - not with the juicer. He was not at all helpful.

I owned a Jupiter that was ok, but it only lasted a few years. I bought this model and tried it for the first time tonight. It is frustrating and it has been too long since purchase to return it. Two tangerines juiced fine. Then I tried a regular juice orange. The plastic piece that holds the cone came out and the entire unit flipped over, spilling juice and pulp all over the place. There is just not enough pressure to juice the oranges I bought. Also, the plastic piece at the base of the unit to set a glass on is worthless because it does not lock into place. It slips. This feels cheap and will probably get tossed or donated. I would consider another Jupiter, but I need something that will hold up over time.

After a couple of years of dodgy "will this be the time it breaks?" Use tonight it did. Handle sheared the shaft right off. Considering it only gets used for making cocktails and the sort of cocktails only get made sporadically I would say fewer than 200 citrus fruits went through it. Not real impressive.

This has become the centerpiece of a tropical fruit consumption program with a blended cocktail corollary adjunct after 5 p.m.

I received this for Christmas and just love it. It is very easy to use and fresh juice every morning is fantastic! I would recommend it to anyone.

I bought this juicer and immediately returned it in favor of a "standard" manual levered juicer. This juicer looks nice on the counter, but that's where it's usefulness ends - its design just plain doesn't work! It tips over too easily when juicing lemons, limes, and oranges.

I oiled the moving parts as per instructions, the handle goes down easily, whoever it takes brute strength to get handle back up.It is almost like it sucks down on what you are juicing and won't release.

I just bought this juicer (white) and I did manage to squeeze half an orange with tremendous effort before the right hinge broke. I definitely do not recommend buying it. Nothing more to say.

It's compact so it fits virtually anywhere. My first one broke so they immediately sent me a complete replacement set, and I didn't have to return the damaged one. The things I like about this juicer is that it works great, is fast to use, has ample capacity, and is very easy to clean up afterwards.

Broke upon first attempt at juicing grapefruit, both a removable plastic piece and a metal piece broke... feels and seems like an awesome contraption, but under normal use, it doesn't hold up.
