Great Desktop Organizer
I purchased this product about 6 months ago and it has done its job well. The style of the product fits nicely with the overall "Apple Motif". The USB hub works as well as anyone could ask, and it supports the weight of my Apple Cinema Display and Gen 1 Intel Mac Mini nicely, and without any sagging. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a monitor stand that allows them store a keyboard (mine happens to be wired) neatly out of the way. The USB hub is a nice extra. My only note of caution is that I have one of those newer aluminum Apple keyboards. I'm not sure that every other thicker (taller) keyboard out there, will fit.

Grey color does not match like in the picture.
It does not match the grey color to macs (It has a darker, mate look as opposed to the more metallic mac color) which is the main reason why I rate down. Also the keyboard can be rather difficult to get out once its pushed and the usb 3.0 wire is very short. I expected this product to be better due to the pricing. On the upside the stand is made of steel and hold my 30 inch dell monitor without much "sagging" in the middle. Overall not very pleased.

The price leads to unrealistic expectations
It's just a stand, actually it's just a piece of metal shaped to raise my apple product; but the devil is in the details. The clever usb hub is not only well placed but powered. The height was well thought out, underneath is perfect for my keyboard, up top my cinema display is now perfectly aligned with my imac for the ideal dual-monitor setup (so well thought out even my rare setup can be accommodated). The build and finish is good quality and it's very obvious when you handle it....and that's it.I docked this thing 1 star because this is a 5-star product with a 6-star price. For the price I would expect this monitor stand to be made of fancy materials like carbon fiber and tungsten (or something ridiculous like that)

Stand is solidly built but USB 3.0 was really USB 2.0 and then died after 2 days. This one is going back.
Stand construction was quite good. My 27" iMac did not cause any sagging. So I was especially disappointed when the USB 3.0 hub was really just a USB 2.0 hub. I should have been warned when I opened the box and saw a "USB 3.0" sticker on the box covering the USB 2.0. I figured they did an upgrade after the fact, but no dice. My iMac saw the hub as USB 2.0 and my external drives turned green (they turn blue when connected to a USB 3.0 source and green for USB 1 or 2).I was willing to overlook this since the stand itself was constructed quite well and I liked how it organized my desk space. I was willing to use the stand's USB ports as charging ports or to plug in my Wacom or iPhones since those dont really need to be plugged in via USB 3. Then 2 days after I bought it it the entire hub dies. I checked connections, solid. Power light on the hub was still on. But nothing worked, all attachments went dark. This was the last straw - I have an inquiry open with the manufacturer but I'm not waiting for a reply. This one goes back and the search for a decent stand continues.

The stand is sturdy and gives me extra space to mount my iMac onto the platform. Having extra USB connections on the side of the platform is handy, the USB hub must be plugged in.I would have given this item 5 stars when I first bought it, but after a year the USB hub died on me. I contacted Macessity for a replacement and the cost was as much as the platform. Told them this is a one time deal, happens again and it's trash. Not worth the price if you have to replace the hub.

keyboard stand
I purchased this for my husband's computer. He has limited space on his computer desk and just wanted something to tuck his keyboard into that would support his monitor. Works like a charm and is sleek enough to give a truly uncluttered appearance to his desk.

AVERAGE
my imac 21 inch was heavy enough to make the center sag. needs more usb ports. value to performance ratio is off by a lot. not worth the money as it can barely hold a monitor without looking like its gonna collapse.

27 inch iMac sits well on the SlimKey V2 Stand-still have the same issue however as the former Macessity hub
This is the second hub i have purchased from Macessity. The first one was the low key with the USB on the front. I had ti for over 5 years and finally it just was not charging anything anymore on the USB hub so I purchased a new one which is the slim key with the USB hub on the side not the front. I looked all over for a stand similar. Found one but the price was double the cost of this one. It was packaged well when it came out of the box but no instructions. One would think that would be simple right it is just a hub with a connection for power but it also had once again as the last one a connection that you have to use for the USB in the back of your computer. Purchasers just need to know that you are not going to just plug it in for power and it is going to run. You need to plug it into the back of your Mac. Also the power connection is not a tight fit. Very easy to come off. Different connection than the last one I had. When I plug the power cord into the hub it is very lose. Here is one thing that I see where I had the same problem with this new one as the one prior. Some items will charge on the slim-key USB hub stand and other items will not. For example I have a Belkin charging stand for my iPhone and it charges fine on the hub yet I have an iPad Air stand that has a USB connection and it does not. I actually had to take that and direct connect to my Mac. So just realize that not everything is going to be able to use the alternative USB hub verses the back of your mac. The stand does not sag as noted by some users. I have a 27 inch mac and it is fine. The color is close enough no issue there. I gave it a 4 star because I think Macessity could improve. The plug to the power connection to the hub needs to connect better. A picture with just the setup of how it should connect would be great for users that are not familiar with hubs. I do wish I could connect all of my items to the USB hub after all that is why I purchased it, so I would have extra USB connections.
