A GREAT member of the UniFi network equipment family!
I have to say I absolutely love this little switch, and always keep a spare in my work van. I install and manage a lot of networks based on the UniFi equipment, and the flexibility of this switch has helped me out in specific networks with limited infrastructure. In one network, this switch is fed from a UniFi 24-Port 250w PoE switch, located in a junction box at the base of a utility pole on the property. From there, 3 UniFi Mesh Points are connected and powered by the switch, and one port feeds the network connection of a solar array further up the hill. This was a big help, as we did not have to dig up 50-70ft of asphalt to run a separate high voltage conduit to power a PoE switch at the junction box. The UniFi Mesh points are used to provide lightweight WiFi connectivity for WiFi calling and texting while walking along a long driveway and outside sitting area.In the second network pictured, the UniFi Flex switch is used to connect and power 3 Hikvision IP cameras at a private residence. For the same reason, to avoid breaking up a large amount of asphalt and concrete, we could only fit a single CAT6 line in the existing conduit from the house to the gate. There is absolutely no problem connecting 3 Hikvision 8MP IP cameras to this switch and no delay in video being received by the NVR at the house. The cameras draw between 10 and 14 watts of PoE power from the switch depending if night vision is on or off.In all, the switch is a great addition to the UniFi network system, and the flexibility to offer PoE at/af wile being powered through PoE, greatly reduces the need to lay additional conduit, additional high voltage lines, and the labor necessary to do so.

Very Cool Switch
The tech on this is fantastic. A layer 2 switch that can be deployed where one does not have existing AC Power...because it’s DC powered over POE, POE+ or POE++. I’m currently using it to POE power a WiFi access point and separate out some cameras onto a separate VLAN. This is a great application that saved me from running AC power out to the deployment location. The operating temperature range on this switch is also first class, just short of industrial class....up to 140 degree F.

Great 5 port poe switch
I had 3 prior to ordering this one straight from Ubiquity they're east to install, magnetic and able to power remote wireless and access points.Absolutely worth it.I've had three outdoors for well over a year without issues. Two are in unheated buildings while the 3rd is inside the Ubiquity utility box.Temperatures in the winter frequently hit -30f while in the summer 80-85f

Simple Adoption
Like most things within the Ubiquiti ecosystem, this product was easy to adopt. I'm really happy with the switch!!!!

Outdoor managed switch, powered by PoE and capable of distributing PoE
The product is fantastic. It's capable of being outdoor and in harsh temperatures while receiving and distributing power from a central PoE switch.I used this to avoid pulling another 3 ethernet runs, and in turn power 3 poe cameras from it. As long as you pay attention to the power budget required, this device is a delight. The Unifi software for management is great as long as your needs are within its capability set. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.

Taking the Texas Heat in my attic while powering and delivering IP to 2 cameras and a UAP AC
Well made and needing something to extend 1 internet connection out to multiple devices and give them power from my attic. Little hard finding a power injector to sufficiently power this and this is doing the job perfectly https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0186N546M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1Bolted an IT Rack Shelf, vertically, to a wooden post and then slapped the switch to this using its magnetic backing. Nice to grab the switch and remove/add a cable. Needed more ports and daisy chained another in.

Works well, nice form-factor.
Does the job, nice form factor, makes adding an extra camera (G3Flex FTW) much easier vs pulling another wire to a remote location in a hot attic, etc. Has a few software limitation drawbacks, but overall I'm impressed and am on my 3rd or 4th purchase now -- they just come in handy, I almost like to have "a spare" around for when I want to add another camera somewhere on a whim. The downside: My wife may think I'm nuts. Ah, well.

Wish I'd known about this unit before getting the Nanos...
The nanos ended up being useless as the not even the their APs can be powered by the 24v passive POE.This unit has just as high a temperature rating which means they can be used in the heat of an attic but still power up to 15 watts per port. Plus it's fully managed so each port can be assigned a different network if you so desire.
