The instructions shipped with the device are outdated so things they mention about the app experience are incorrect (they say you can just add a device, but then you're prompted to add a type of device, and you aren't given guidance on what this device is -- is it a controller or is it a light? Still don't know.) They also clearly indicate that the lights only work with 2.4 GHz band wifi, rather than the advertised 'up to 4g' I bought two different sets of dimmable lights and this one was so hard to set up that I have decided not to put it up. I'm sorta bummed out that they require you to use their proprietary app to control the lights and provide no other way to control them. I might have to go buy a separate controller to be able to use this. Pretty disappointing. The substance of the instructions is wrong but also just to note -- it's clearly not written / edited by someone who speaks English.

Nowhere in the description or specs does it say it is ONLY compatible with 2.4GHz wifi. If you have 5G, this device will not pair and you will be unable to control it, you wont even be able to set it up, it will be left in a constant blinking state.Very misleading.Bought a Wifi extender which automatically splits your incomming 5G signal into 2.4GHz and 5GHz and that worked like a charm. After programming the lights, I am very happy with the end product.

I set the lights up last year and they difficult to get connected initially, but worked SO well eventually.Setting them up again this year and it has taken 8 hours of trouble shooting and trying guess at wtf the app is doing- and they still aren’t connecting AT ALL!I’m frustrated and I have a crick in my neck because of working over my head.Pay more for one that connects more easily.- Cranky Crick-Neck

Good quality, easy smart home integration, it’s great to able to change the color/temp on the bulbs. I have it set up in my Alexa routines to come on based on sunset/sunrise.The app is easy to use, my only small gripe is Alexa can only change it to 5 color settings while the app you can do custom.Spend the extra money for the convenience .

The remote control feature on my phone makes them easy to use.

Set these up per the app and instructions. Then "network unavailable" and the lights just blink. Followed the instructions again and troubleshooting. Customer service from vendor is not responding.
