Don't follow "sync" instructions!
The media could not be loaded. Nice sleek design. The sync instructions provided do not work. You will need to:1) Open your Fitbit app on your phone.2) Select your picture (usually on the top left of your phone app), which will take you to your ACCOUNT.3) Select +SET UP A DEVICE4) Scroll to your device, select, and it will sync once you tap on the device you want to sync.BEEP BEEP BEEP - update update...Ok, so what I just realized is that the phone will lose connection via the Bluetooth scyn. This is okay, all you need to do is:1) Open your Fitbit app2) Step on the scale3) Tap "SAVE" in your app...So, that annoying piece of paper with these instructions should tell you how to SET UP A DEVICE before this sync instruction, that'd make it a lot easier. It seems that a company like Fitbit would catch that and correct the instructions provided!**I was not able to sync my weight and save it until I removed my socks. After I removed my socks, my weight and other info were able to sync. I don't know if that was a coincidence, but it would make sense that you would need to remove your socks since the scales log more info than just your weight.Hope this helps!

Works great and accurate
I have been using a fitbit since they first came out and have had several versions and several phones in that time. This was not easy to set up. I had it ready to box and give up at one point. The button on the bottom is you best friend in this situation! Now that I do have it set up it works very well and is the weight is the same as at the Dr's and it is sensitive to the ounce. Once I set- it adds my weight to the fitbit app and calculates how close I am to my goal, this was the feature I was excited about. Give it a couple of attempts when setting up, this might have been easier if I was newer to fitbit and hadn't had so many Fitbits on and off. Anyway keep at it and reach your goals!

Perfect!
Scale does exactly what its supposed to. If you are a FitBit person, then you will get more out of this scale with the Bluetooth sync to your mobile app. I'm a long time FB user and it set-up easy to my phone/app out of the box. Have used 2 mornings in a row and it syncs with phone/app great to update my weight. If you use the FB app you will get more data like BMI, etc. Otherwise it's a nice scale. Cheaper on Amazon than directly from FB. I have the white one. Love it. Looks great. Great readout.

One week no connection issues
I’ve only had it for a week now. Works like a charm with no connectivity issues. The down side was following the manual is not very descriptive as far as pairing device. Had to work out myself. So if you can get past that it would be 5 stars after a week

Between the product not working and my experience with support, I have lost trust in this company.
Please note, this Aria Air is Bluetooth *and* does not seem to even show BF%/BMI on the display (just weight). At first, it seems like I had no issue connecting to the scale; however, after my first weigh-in, it kept reporting my *prior* weight, as a prior Fitbit Aria (first generation, wifi) scale had reported. Repeatedly. Neither was it displaying or reporting body fat to the phone (either correctly or incorrectly). I held 40 pounds of kitty litter and it reported the same value. So I reached out to support. Almost nothing: they said their first-line support people do not handle scales and provided a ticket number. No contact since then. No support email on their site.Regarding the app: I had removed that old scale after it had broken (I assumed, more on that below); lacking support from the company, I tried troubleshooting steps myself such as clearing my cache and data.I had to eventually reach out earlier today via the Twitter (no response yet, that was just maybe eight hours ago, though). Here is the thing: that original Aria stopped working last Wednesday. I figured it was broken. Turns out, it was not permanently broken but temporarily broken by something of which Fitbit was already aware and had failed to communicate to owners of the products that they had broken. Well, they did not send us email or push notifications but they posted to their app (and probably Twitter, too, but I have used neither until after the second scale arrived broken).I have already initiated a return of this Aria Air because it is inferior in every way to the original Aria for my use cases. This experience with both the product and support has caused a customer who has purchased at least a half-dozen of their trackers or scales to distrust them.

Fitbit App Not Necessary
I checked this scale measuring a set of weights I knew were exactly 10 pounds, and it came out correct. Tried weighing myself with and without the 10 pounds of weights, and it performed as expected. So as far as I can tell, it works. The most important thing for me is that no app or Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connection is necessary. I don't have a Fitbit (or a Fitbit account), and none of that was required. All I did is take it out of the box, pull the tab for the batteries, set it on the floor, and weigh myself. Simple as can be. I didn't need or want Wi-Fi/Bluetooth syncing—I just wanted a scale that looked nice and didn't give me measurements for anything other than weight—so I can't comment on whether the connectivity works. But if you're looking for a simple scale that looks nice, you can't go wrong with the Fitbit Aria Air.
