The kit consists of two pieces of clear adhisive tape. I followed the instructions but the tape didn't stick to the Areobed. I wound up getting Coleman (Areobed) to replace the unit.I was in Home Depot and saw Gorella clear tape. It was about $4.00 a roll. It advertised that it could fix air leaks in inflateable devices. I didn't have an opportunity to test it but I am sure it would work at least as well if not better than the SimplySleeper air bed repair patch.

As is, the patch did not work, despite pedantic prep work. However, with extra adhesive (mine, not included) the patch is now holding up well. Bear in mind, my simplysleeper has an almost clothlike finish, so maybe on a vinyl type surface, this patch would have fared better.

Haven't used it yet, but gave it a generic rating based on other, similar "repair" kits I've seen. I have to say though, that of all the various included patches I've had with different air beds, most of them are mediocre at best, not lasting long as a "fix." I did find a "Mountain Trails Repair Kit," though, and have put that aside for future repairs. My experience is that most air beds begin to leak after, at best, 12-15 months, and there's nothing more irritating than waking up in the middle of the night without a backup matress or repair option to get you through until morning! The included, free "repair" patches that are sometimes included are usually not worth the effort. The aforementioned Mountain Trails Repair Kit contains a tube of glue, unlike this product. The patches without the glue are easy to catch when you're making the bed, and once they start to peel, you're gonna have to replace it. I'll probably use these with the glue, even though they're sticky-backed.

Delivery was prompt. Patches are good easy to apply. I would recommend this product.

We installed this patch awhile ago and it has held air overnight without any problems. So far so good with the patch. Very easy to install.
