The essential oil of camphor is obtained during the process of extraction of camphor from two types of camphor trees. The first one is the Common Camphor tree, bearing the scientific name Cinnamomum Camphora, from which the common camphor is obtained. The second variety is the Borneo Camphor tree, which is where Borneo Camphor is derived; it is scientifically known as Dryobalanops Camphora. The camphor oil obtained from both have similar properties, but they differ slightly in aroma and in the concentration of various compounds found in them. The various components of camphor essential oil are Borneol, Pinene, Camphene, Camphor, Terpene, and Safrol. Camphor essential oil, apart from having a cool, penetrating and lasting aroma, has many medicinal properties as well, which is explained in greater detail below. Antispasmodic: It is a very efficient antispasmodic and gives immediate relief from spasms and cramps. It is also effective at curing extreme spasmodic cholera.

Worth essential oil

Great for skin
I bought this oil for my son who has atopic dermatitis.I mix this oil with extra virgin coconut oil and use it over skin.Smell is good like camphor,quality is also good after applying on skin.I also use it in bathing him after mixing it in water.Results are good till now.Happy with the purchase.

It smells different from the camphor pills
not sure how authentic it is, but since I am using it only for bath water, I am not technically concerned, it smells different a bit more like tea tree oil. perhaps the seller should come with more details regarding the authenticity of the camphor oil
