The egg topper works like a charm. I didn't know a device like this even existed, and it works like a charm. Yes, every now and again the egg cracks more than you want, but that's on the egg. More than half the time a get a cleanly cut cap when I use it. Put the rubber o-ring above the weight and drop it from about half way up a couple of times. Enjoy!

Egg topper works excellent as described. You must use the provided base during the ball drop, to provide a solid hit!Egg shell top stays with the cutting bell, and pops right out with a finger poke.

This egg cutter does not do its job as we expected. That is too bad. After a couple of drops we should be able to open the egg but it gets stuck or it does not cut the shell properly.

Well.....I can top the eggs with it, but after owning it a very short time (60 days or so) it is starting to rust where the long handle goes into the big cup part.

It works. Soft boiled eggs with little caps cut off.

Works like a charm! I often use this before peeling eggs for a salad, as it allows the top to be removed easily. Recommended.

After a lifetime of occasional soft-boiled egg-opening catastrophes, I'd like to say, "What a pleasure to use!"

It doesn't really work on our fresh eggs.
