While portions are made out of metal, there are cheap plastic pieces that significantly diminish its durability. Our son received the excavator for Christmas and it broke about 2 weeks later. This is after he was only allowed to play with it inside on a tile floor.There is a plastic piece that connects the bucket to the boom and enables the bucket to dig. The plastic piece has a small pin on each side that attaches to the bucket, one of the pins on our son’s sheared off as the picture shows. Now the plastic won’t hold the bucket in place.The Amazon page for this toy says to check Jogotoll’s website for warranty information, good luck finding it.

Purchased this for our grandson. He played with it about 20 minutes and then it stopped working. Do not know if it is a controller problem or a receiver problem. Bottom line it does not function. Installed new controller batteries and charged main battery again. Only the lights would work.

My son got this for Christmas. He loves it, but the tracks are already broken one month later. Replacement tracks are not available which is very unfortunate because the digger part works well. We are quite disappointed.

Track broke within 30 min of playing.... devastated a birthday.
