Dyneema ropes are extremely tear-resistant, extremely low-stretch, very light, floatable, flexible, can be spliced very well and are highly resistant to abrasion, moisture, UV rays and chemicals

The Dyneema fibre is 40 % stronger than aramid fibre (23 cN/dtex), 60 % stronger than carbon fibre and glass fibre (15 cN/dtex), almost five times stronger than polyamide, polyester and polypropylene fibre (all between 5 cN/dtex and 8 cN/dtex) and up to 15 times stronger than steel (2 cN/dtex)
