This allows my horse to spend the day on pasture.
It works great. I attach it to his halter and turn him out in the morning and bring him in to feed him in the evening. He had laminitis in the past, so he can't be just turned out to graze on the All You Can Eat grass buffet.

Life Saver. Grazing muzzle at Amazon.
My beloved warmblood gelding foundered and has for the most part recovered but must not eat any green grass. This muzzle has allowed him to go out and run and buck and play and socialize with other horses. I tried another brand that fell apart, but this one is doing the job. He gets a few blades of grass through the quarter size hole in the center of the muzzle as he "grazes" with the other horses. That keeps him busy as he feels he is accomplishing something. He is a big (17.2 hand) fella and the large is barely large enough, but works for the short time he is turned out. The lead rope snaps built into the full head strap muzzles break or tear the muzzle. They don't have a chance with the power of a big horse; but THIS muzzle which fastens to a regular halter still gives some means of control. -Stefani

I bought this type of grazing muzzle because it attaches to a halter. I bought it to replace the same one I got last year. Unfortunately, the new one wore out even quicker. The bottom has worn though to the point that the hole is already about 25% bigger than it was brand new, and I've only had it a month. The top attachment to the halter also rubs on my horse's nose, so I've have to try to wrap it in vet wrap and Body Glove in an attempt to keep it from causing a sore. In the future I think I'll bite the bullet and pay more for a muzzle of higher quality.

Grazing Muzzle
Amazing product! Have a young 4 yr old mare who likes to chew lead lines, buckets, fences, and everything else. (not a cribber; just likes chewing). She can break free from any lead line in less than a minute. Tried hot pepper and dish soap on the lead rope. no results. didnt seem to mind hot or soapy taste. Then tried the grazing muzzle and it works great! attaches to any halter, easily. She doesnt fuss at all when I put it on. She can still drink easily through the tiny hole at the bottom. I only use it when she's tied at the trailer or the hitching post. Highly recommend this product. Saved me lots of money in lead ropes.

AD Unclear
I thought I was purchasing the whole halter not just a part of it. The ad was not clear enough. I had to put this on my regular halter and it's not near as satisfactory as the whole halter and muzzle that is one piece.

Fat horses best friend!
Great muzzle, on 'fatty' horse and doing it's job. This horse fattens on 'air' and usually is confined to dry lot and grass hay. Since grazing muzzle came and was attached to her halter, she has been out on pasture with the other horses and is happy and healthy. Have used these muzzles for several years and love them. Have two 'tubbys' in them right now. I only use the ones that attach to halters. The ones with head stalls can be easily rubbed off putting the horse in 'over eating/founder danger'.

It is a good brand.
It was the brand we had before and could put it on our own halter. We use it for our horses.
