Nigel Barker's Beauty Equation: Revealing a Better and More Beautiful You

I must admit that I bought this at a deep discount, not for the beauty advice, but for the photographs, I was disappointed that the book does not feature any of the creative, exciting fashion photography I enjoyed on America's Top Model. The shots are more conventional picks. That's just me, though. I bought the book for an off-label reason.Young women looking for sensible real-world beauty advice will not go wrong here. He speaks of health, spontaneity, confidence, compassion, inner happiness as the real sources of beauty. He also, of course, talks about clothes, makeup, and body image. It is a wise little book by an expert in contemporary American beauty.

I model and was curious as far as what this book had in store for the readers. This is a great guide for aspiring models or those that are having confidence or self-esteem issues for portraying yourself in a different light for others to take you seriously in any situation. This also helps out with how he percieves individuals that come into his office and how inner beauty is EVERYTHING! How you look to the world is their view until they get to know you. It's not about looks pretty much but you have to have an IT factor for people to take an interest in you and tells you how to get there if you need a brush up. -YEAH it's a lot but that was only in the first 30 pages.

Again, this is a resource book, that I will not read from cover to cover, but use as a reference to chapters I am interested at the time. It is an excellent book and I'm glad to have it in my library. It came early and in New condition. I would use this seller again any time. Thank you.

Nigel's passion for Beauty is evident in this book. He spends alot of time explaining how attitude and inside beauty is such a large percentage of outside beauty without being corny or cheesy about it. I love him on Top Model, and was very happy with how eloquently he described exactly what beauty is.

I did not know definitely what I was purchasing because there were no reviews by the time I purchased it, and there were no preview pages shown, but definitely this book exceeds my expectation. Watch out! this is not a make up or fashion stylist book, but this is an overall beauty book. I just loved it!

This book is really cool with all of the tips and such in it. It has tons of colored photos and tips. Great buy!
