Beautiful and just as pictured

This is beautiful! I wish the geode was more grey/green, but it's still very beautiful. There is another review here rating the product one star, claiming it is oh-so-different, with a photograph of the ***back*** of the pendant.I took several photos, you be the judge.The back is the one with the gold strip up the middle, this is necessary to support the amethyst.Update: March 3, 2019 - still wearing this today. The gold coating is gone, and it is now a beautiful copper. Nothing else has changed. Lovely item.

I ordered the purple colored necklace and what I received is brown. I looked at it under every light inside my home as well as outside, and there's no way this is purple. It looks cheap and a lot smaller than expected as well.

Clunkery and messier than shown in the picture. I was not concerned with the coloring so much but the workmanship was a bit messy. It still showed the beauty of the amethyst stone and the carrier piece. I was happy with it overall. I would buy it again for myself and as a gift.

It came fast, in good packaging, great condition, and looked just like the picture. It is a little taller than an inch and just a little less than an inch wide. The thickness of the stone surprised me pleasantly and I think it will be quite durable. The metal is very bright and clean looking and looks great with the stone. I had a gold chain all ready for it and I love it, definitely worth the money, 'specialy if you know some-one who likes rocks (:

I first gave this charm a 5 star rating because I did and still do think it is '...a unique item and a conversation piece..."- quoting my original review. I will add pictures of the pendant and a screenshot showing proof of purchase and how it has held up.I did not know the description and picture of the pendant because it was a gift nearly 2 years ago so I reviewed it for the buyer and he posted it. As I was looking up similar jewelry I came across the pendant ordered and see that he paid for the slice of agagte/amethyst that was to have a piece of amethyst inside. Mine did not have this. I always wondered why there was extra gold leaf through the middle as if something were missing. I wish I'd have known back then so I could have let the sellers know to send the correct item; who knows, maybe they'll read this and actually send it?I can say that after almost 2 years the pendant is still holding up but colour has faded and I haven't worn it but 1 time after the 1st 2 months. This is because I had it affixed to the collar of my best friend, a Rottweiler, who died on September 11 2016 and I have kept it as a momento in a special place.

Image posted on Amazon looks nothinglike the product sent. Had high hopes, product was cheap looking, gemstone look like plastic and the outer surface was a mate flat clear color, none of the colors in the photo appeared in the item. Chain looks nice but pendant was a flop.
