(2 lb) Chitin Based Soil Amendment

This stuff is pretty fantastic. The way it works is amazing and once you get that figured out(how it works), it's really good at what it does.My only faults with this product is that it isn't listed organic and does not specify anything including ingredients. The company says it is 100% arthropod mixture but never mentions ever what arthropods are in it or what the source of the insects are. Ingredients are important when you're trying to grow organic. It's also unnecessarily pricey.I enjoyed the product. Great soil builder. Plants love it, roots love it, fungi loves it.

This insect based chitin product works well when used as directed w endomycorrhizae and on healthy stock. One thing I really don't like, they don't tell you the 'inputs', or ingredients of OptiVeg. Imo they're hiding something they don't want us to know.

I absolutely love this product, Chitin is an amazing thing for plants, filled with amino acids and helps produce a symbiotic relationship with myco and the roots. I use it when i transplant and mix it with myco

Optiveg is GREAT for clones & transplants. Sprinkle a lil bit in the potting hole just like mychorrizae. Also can be used like mychorrizae as a transplant solution or mix in with soil. This product comes from Buildasoil.com so its value & performance is OUTSTANDING! It can also be used as a chitin alternative to crab or shrimp shells. Its much easier to break down in the soil. Grade A++ product.

Very happy with my purchase! I had bought a half pound bag last season and it boosted my root growth exponentially but i ran out very quickly. Bought this 2 pound bag last week and I can’t believe the size of it! Came in very quickly and i will definitely be grabbing more when i run out!

We were looking for a 100% chitin material for my sons plant growing experiments. This is advertised as 100% "verified" chitin content. To be fair, the package photo shows 8.2% chitin which I missed. Also, while it may have 100% verified, 8.2% chitin content (classical sales BS) it is completely vague about the other contents. It could be organic manure, with 8.2% chitin content....nothing wrong with that, except when you're selling it for $34/ half pound, by wrapping it in a pretty plastic package with a clever website.......that really says nothing. I call BS....but read & decide for yourself.
