Practical Arnis Stick Fighting: Vortex Control Stick Fighting for Self Defense Paperback – August 18, 2019

As a kali stick fighter, I've been exposed to Balintawak. It is probably the best close stick fighting method besides Sarada. So far I am really enjoying the different take on Balintawak and I will employ these methods in my training. By far the best book by Sam Fury , although I have enjoyed his other books tremendously. I look forward to more of this kind of instruction.

Having no background in weapons training, this is difficult to follow. It would be useful to have some videos referenced (on youtube?) demonstrating the technique. I think this would be more helpful if I had ever received weapons training, but having a strictly bare hands martial arts background, doesn't really help me comprehend this book.

I love this book. I have learned a lot about self defense and how to use sticks as well. I will be buying som sticks soon and I will be practicing using this books guide.

I highly recommend this book. Straight forward and to the point, with lots of good information. Anyone interested in martial arts or looking for information, this book fits the bill

It is too basic. This book is for someone that has never trained in Arnis. Book has drawings instead of pictures.

This is "practical Arnis stick fighting". It is a really great book about Arnis stick fighting. All the illustrations and instructions are clear. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

There is an excellent new book here on amazon on stick fighting priced exactly the same, written by a Master that is well worth the price. i am really upset i paid 8.99 for this thin booklet for kindle. all i can take away from it, is the number 7 strike can be a powerful strike. he briefly outlined a few other strikes, blocks, and disarms but without photos you are not given enough information to actually try taking a skilled opponents stick away from him, for instance. for a dollar book i would not be upset there was nothing new in this book to me, a beginner, but this was not a dollar book. think hard, read reviews, authors credentials and biography before you pay almost ten dollars for a 122 page booklet. you can buy a pair of rattan Kali sticks for twice that and actually get value in your purchase, not throw the money away like i did.
