Can this medium be used with tradition oil paint or oil pastels?

It cannot be used with traditional oil paints and I don't know about oil pastels

Can this medium make traditional oil paint water-mixable?

However.. adding liquid lecthin (much less expensive) to your traditional oil paints WILL turn then into water mixable oils!

Does this medium have an odor? I am looking for something that doesn't smell.

It does have a slight smell, but compared to most mixing mediums I’ve used it is very low odor. I have a mixed-use studio (spare room) in my house and it does not linger after use at all. I’ve been very happy with it!

Is this medium combustible, can I easily discard soiled paper towels In trash?

Paper towels with medium are potentially combustible. If you use turpentine , gambol or other thinners, you must discard as toxic waste. However, linseed oil, modified linseed oil as in cobra mediums, and walnut oils must be discarded in a closed glass container ( I add water) in your usual trash to avoid combustion. These oils are not toxic.
