Those who have perused the crafts section at Walmart know damn well that they don't carry small enough crochet needles for doing dreadlocks, at least not without having to purchase a big bundle of various sizes. This set is ideal. There are two 0.5mm hooks that are ideal for fine tuning your locks. I think they are the best for blunting the ends of mine. The larger ones, I believe they're 0.7mm, are pretty good for bulk work. They make forming the locks (after sectioning and back combing) a breeze. I wish I had this set when I started mine. Together, it's pretty easy to maintain my hair, and through my early experiences, these are way better than the wood handled double/triple hook options. Those just don't work as well as some say. These work incredible well, and the handles are nice, but come off easily if you don't like them, and can be put back on easily too.

Some of these are too sharp or not sharp enough. I had to get several to see which one would work.

So I ordered a lot of stuff yesterday but the most important thing in my package were these lil babies!! I love the fact that they’re held by a clear case and by picking it up I could tell these had a lil weight on them BUT IN A GOOD WAY!These are definitely light weight but with a lil weight to them idk another way to explain this wonderful phenomenon.. the handles are silicone so I can grip it without slipping out my fingers.. I can hold it like a pencil if that makes sense..therefore I move faster..the bamboo ones aren’t for me or my carpal tunnel in both hands..and the metal be flimsy.. I have broken 7 of them including the double & triple ones.. These feel strong! I’m so happy!(It’s the lil things for me..)So if you want a soft comfy grip and something that’s much better than the other ones.. Go ahead and get them!

Holds up well for crochet maintenance for my locs. However, the rubber handle part comes off really easily.
