Excellent Drone. Good camera, good looking and well finished.
The media could not be loaded. The Potensic D85 is my first drone or quad copter. I have flown RC Aircraft years ago, this is nothing like that, for sure. The D85 is a good first drone for 13 and older, since it has features that help make flying easier for the beginner. I got the kit from Amazon with drone, case, charger and 2 batteries. I recommend reading all the instructions and studying the set up carefully. Once all the calibrations are done, the Automatic take-off/landing works great, push the button and the machine rises to about 2 meters and goes into hover. Push the button again and it gently lands in almost the same spot. Flight is smooth and the aircraft is stable. Controls are not oversensitive, but they have a very narrow "effective range", you need to move the controls quite a distance before anything happens, then things happen very quickly. It will take some practice to get the hang of the control sticks range and to find the sweet spot. I went very slow and took my time before my first flight. I have about 20 minutes of fight time, with about 10 successful takeoffs and landings. The only down side that I can see is the slow charging times of the batteries. It would be nice if this thing used "Standard" LiPo RC batteries. All I can say is get extra batteries and chargers. The drone does need to be re-calibrated after every battery change, this is understandable, but still annoying. I have limited my first flights to simple take offs and landings, hovering the aircraft and basic maneuvering of the machine. I don't see myself doing any trick flying in the near future. I want to master the basics of flight. I think this is the key to enjoying the machine. The controls can be tricky at first, but the auto land feature and aircraft lock work well to get the aircraft on the ground quickly and without any drama. I had one very hard landing, and to my surprise, I did not break a prop! Unfortunately, I broke a landing leg, so it would be nice if one of these legs had been included with the kit. The landing legs are made of some pretty brittle plastic and they are easy to break. I wish they were made from a more impact resistant material. Maybe someone on Thingiverse has a 3D printed version of these legs, so that I can get one printed and get myself back into the air. I am just surprised that the leg broke and NONE of the propellers broke! Funny thing is that I had spare propellers. This is Not the machines fault, I was flying in a very tight area, with lots of obstacles, it was bound to happen. Some of my flying was from a very small deck, at night. It was a challenge to keep the drone in this restricted area and not hit the numerous obstacles on the deck. I cannot wait to fly in an open field in an area without any trees. The camera is excellent in the daylight and acceptable at night, especially for such an inexpensive model. The video is very sharp, quite smooth and vibration free. The still photos are good as well. Videos and still shots are stored on the SD card, which I provided. I had a couple of SD cards that came with my 3D printer and they worked great. The videos and photos are all very easy to access from the SD card onto the laptop or PC. The SD card is difficult to insert and remove from the tiny camera SD slot, it takes some practice to get the card in and out. All in all, this is a really solid drone, good looking, good instructions (my only complaint with the instructions is the very small size of the typeface used)! I had to get a magnifier to read some of the materials. The little case that comes with the drone is not a "heavy duty" Pelican type case, but it fits the drone nice, holds all the equipment and is well enough constructed to protect the drone. Overall, I am very happy to have bought the Potensic D85 Drone. I was skeptical when I first read some reviews, since there were several negatives and some drones that just flew off and could not be found. I think people who have these issues may have missed a step in the setup of the drone or simply tried to do too much on their first flights. Don't go too fast or try to do too much when you first start flying. Learning the controls is the key to enjoying your D85 Drone.

Good price, a quality product....easy to fly
This is my first time owning or even flying a drone... for the record the Potensic D85 that I purchased is a great fit for mySoo E Soss Studio. The drone was very easy to setup and fly.. the added GPS software very easy to understand.... I can walk with my D85 flying beside me without controlling it... like a man's best friend...When I first opened the box, I notice that the mount that holds the camera I thought was missing a part but I emailed the company and they said it was fine... speedy response from customer service... make you feel that your not alone...with the purchase...I haven't had any other drone to compare it to however this is all that I need... just make sure your in a large clear environment for the safety of others and your drone... the landing is smooth.. its fast and can fly high.... Camera shots are good.... if you want you can even add a gopro.... I'm good with the camera that came with it.... Potensic is the company for me...

Good drone. Would recommend to others.
I bought this for my boyfriend and he was satisfied with it. Our only complaints are:1) It came with two batteries, but one of them was defective. Replacement battery is $60.2) You have to manually adjust the camera if you want a different angle. Not a huge issue, though.3) You can't livestream, but for an affordable drone, I don't expect all the fancy features.Pros:1) Great drone for the price2) Pretty stable in low winds3) Awesome features and technology4) Good for beginners and easy to learn5) Fairly decent battery life (one of the longest in this price range).Overall, I would buy this again and recommend it to people looking for a good affordable drone!

FANTASTICALLY easy to control.
The GPS makes for stable, easily controlled flight. I replaced the camera with a GoPro and alternate gimbal for professional grade shots, but this thing carries it easily (It's a little more sluggish, but the hero 7 black and gimbal weigh like 4 times what the 2k cam that comes with it does, so that's to be expected. The camera that comes with it lets you fly this thing with precision and speed.)I LOVE THIS DRONE.The software that comes with it has several cool features (the pic of me running was testing the "follow me" feature) and the return to home works GREAT! (Caught me by surprise when I let the battery get too low once heheh.)FANTASTIC drone for the price. GREAT value, great drone.

Drone Can go Rouge
I really liked the unit and found it easy to fly. I was flying it October 3rd with my grandchildren when I got a low battery signal. I flew it back to me and landed it. As I reached down to pick it up to change batteries the motors started up and it took off. It would not respond to commands from the control module and it flew out of sight. Apparently the battery went dead as a rode around where I thought it might be but my phone could never establish contact with it again. So now I have a control module, a battery and a nice box, but no drone or camera.
