We love Owleez!
We didn't have trouble getting it to fly, even though the instructions weren't great. We watched a video to see how to make it fly. And if you push the back button until you hear three beeps, it will play a rainbow game! My granddaughter named her "Snowflake Frost".

Kids ages 6 &8 Review of the pet owl
Fantastic flying feature! When we first opened the Owl we thought it was going to be similar to other popular digital pets but the flying feature definitely sets this one apart. The kids practiced all of the different modes and the first time the owl took off in the flying mode they jumped up and down with excitement. The only issue is coordinating the landing and re-charging frequently after a few flights. We think this toy is still a winner and will continue to entertain the kids for a while with its flight feature. The other modes are cute but simple, it makes cute sounds and the kids liked the lullaby and when it said “I love you”. The owl also had gas and sometimes gets frustrated when it can’t fly which is cute! The cons are that after flight the wings can jam but parents can put it back easily. Unique toy and would highly recommend

Impressive but a little intense!
We recently received Owleez in white and my kids (5 & 7) were immediately drawn to its cute appearance and many interactive features. Thankfully it charged pretty quickly using its included USB cable. I love that the cable is attached to the nest so there's no chance of kids losing it. At first it reminded me of one of the "Fingerling" toys because of the interaction, nurturing, and noises but the features of the Owleez exceed that of other toys we have tried. The color changing eyes and included instructions make it easy for kids to understand what it wants and my kids particularly enjoyed the color changing game it plays. As for the flight feature, while it is certainly impressive and something we've never seen before, my kids are actually a bit scared of it. They enjoyed "teaching" him to fly and wanted to try it several times for him to get better but each time it actually took off, my kids got nervous about how to catch or guide it. My 7 year old said it seemed like a drone. It can also be a little challenging to find a space in your house for it to fly. So far it hasn't crashed into anything except the floor and it is very lightweight but I worry about it hitting the TV or a lamp. The instructions say that it does get better at flying with more practice so maybe we will figure that out more as we continue to play with it.Overall, I think it is a pretty cool little toys best suited for kids 8-10 years old.

My sons new favorite toy
I purchased this as one of my 7y/o sons Christmas gifts. It ended up being his absolute favorite thing that he received. He takes it with him wherever he goes and every child (and adult) that sees it gets excited to see it fly.We initially purchased the white one but according to my son “it needed a friend” so we now have the pink one also. They are both the same other than the color. It comes with a nest that it charges on that plugs into any USB slot.It takes about 20 minutes to charge and flys roughly 10 times before needing to be placed back on the nest. The more you fly it, the better it becomes at flying.Ours has had many crash landings on its quest to learn to fly, but so far it has held up completely. It seems to be very durable.

Received Pink, Not White
Ordered the white owl, received the pink owl. My daughter decided to accept it because she couldn't stand to wait to play with it, so we did not return it, but she was disappointed. It is fun, a very weird/loud toy, but she loves it a lot. I can't imagine that it will last much longer, but it hasn't broken yet (first day out of the box).

Reviews were terrifying but works great. Only charge via computer NEVER a usb block!
I was very skeptical about this purchase as the reviews were awful, overall it’s been a great toy. No issues with it flying, no self decapitation or malfunctions. I saw quite a few reviews saying it wouldn’t fly after charging and in the instructions it specifically says to charge it with its usb to a computer to never plug it into a usb block, I’m assuming it would be too much power and it just needs to be charged at a lower capacity which I believe is why others may of had issues, read the instructions and it will work great. My Daughter loves it. The pink one being $10 more then the white one is a bit redundant though. Same toy just cheaper if you go with the white one but whatever.

Love it!
There's only one thing that is hard to do with this owl and that's gettin it to fly. It will not just fly for you. You must actually train it to fly lik a real owl has to learn to fly. It took me 3 months until I finally was able to get it to fly but beware....just because you get it to fly 1, 3, 7 or 15 times doesn't mean the next time you want it to fly, it will actually fly for you. Sometimes this owl seems so real when it comes to the different things it can do and the different things it can actually learn from you teaching it how to do things.
