Lovely, soft, flowing silk. I used to make a scarf/wrap to wear with a formal dress. Color is beautiful. May be a bit thin for a dress - 16MM - at least for me, but beautiful for wrap, possibly a robe or nightgown. I would suggest a higher momme for a dress, unless using as an overlay to a liner.

I was nervous about ordering silk fabric on Amazon, but what I received is indeed real silk— I performed a burn test to make sure! It’s not the highest quality silk, but it’s suitable for my purposes (making scarves to bundle dye and give as gifts).

Silk fabric was very silky. My Mom made 2 scarves out of it for natural hair nightly wear. Overall, I am pleased with fabric and color.

This is clearly not silk. It appears to be some sort of cheap rayon. I waited too long to take it out of the packaging so I couldn't return it but it was an unfortuante waste of money.The other reviewers are right, it is smooth so if that's all you're looking for, you can find the same fabric for a much lower price.The color is, unfortunately, very lovely.
