The NetCamPro NCP2255i is the most versatile indoor home monitoring camera on the market. Excellent for use as baby monitor which can later be re-purposed as a security camera. The camera is shipped in Autonomous Mode where it records motion activated video clips (with sound) to the built-in Micro SD (16 GB chip included). You can live view and access the recordings using iPhone/iPad, Android, Windows, or Mac. Switching the NCP225i to Cloud Mode lets you record media files (images and video) to the NetCamPro Cloud (free plan included). With Cloud recording both video clips and still pictures are stored off-site in a secure data center in case your camera gets stolen. NetCamPro Cloud also features condensed clips of your still pictures, email alerts, as well as a rich set of sharing functions. The included free Cloud plan stores the last 1,000 media files from your camera. Your oldest files are automatically removed to make room for your latest ones. Upgrades to 10,000, 30,000, and 100,000 media files are available for purchase from our website. In Cloud Mode the NCP2255i uses Store and Forward technology to overcome Internet disruptions. During an Internet outage the camera stores media on its built-in Micro SD. Once Internet connectivity is restored all locally accumulated files are being send to the Cloud automatically. Setup of the NCP2255i is done in under 3 minutes. Install the free Net Cam Pro Live App on your iPhone/iPad or Android. Use the "+ Add Camera" function to scan the QR code, enter the password and live view your camera. It's that easy! The NCP225i connects locally through Wi-Fi (no Internet required) and thanks to latest advancements in network technology no additional configuration is required to view your camera over the Internet. Enjoy hassle free remote access from anywhere in the world! We also carry outdoor models, look for our “NetCamPro NCP2475e”.

Nothing easy about set up.
I hope to write an update when this camera is fully operational. There is nothing easy about set up. 3 minutes is a joke. The first problem is where they put the QR label. You must have the power plugged in and the Ethernet cable plugged in when you try to scan the QR. Those two cable blocked my camera, I never could get a shot at the QR I ended up typing in the long ID number to avoid the QR. Next your really on your own to figure out where the settings are to get the wifi going, I think the geeks who program these things figure everyone thinks like they do and we'll just intuitively know what to do.. After I had the wifi up I would say I had at least 30 minutes into the set up.Once up, the camera shot is beautiful and wide. One camera covers my shop area very nicely. I would like to zoom in but I haven't found a setting for that. Next comes trying to get the cloud connection going. For the average guy the set up wizard is more like a set up warlock. If you don't know where and how to deal with Config files forget setting this thing up yourself. There are no instructions with the camera and the forum spells it out if you know how to really speak computer geek. No way I can figure it out. All I can do is wait until Monday and call tech support. I'm sure that will be a long time spent on the phone. I will try and offer an update after tech support gets this all set up proper.UPDATE: I called tech support and a real human picked up after only a couple of rings. The guy was great and walked me right along to a fully functional camera. There are way to many steps to make this thing work. I was told a new website is coming very soon making it much easier for folks to get there camera going.Camera works great with a beautiful picture day or night. Everything goes to the cloud now. The bad guy can steal my camera but I have his picture in the cloud. Yes the camera is expensive but it ofters more useful features then any other camera at this price point. Money well spent. Now I rate this a 5 star camera.

Great Camera for the Price but the Instructions are Lacking
Terrible instructions and the company's website isn't the most user friendly. There is a QR code on the back of the camera and after downloading the app you just take a picture of the QR code with the app and it automatically sets up the camera for you to track and view in the app on the device you used to set it up. The instructions don't walk you through this process clearly though and there are some spots where you're left wondering what to enter into required fields. Once set up, though, the camera performs really well. The clarity is great, the night vision is great - very clear - no pixelation or light bleed, the interface to view camera streams is great as well. I placed this about nine feet up on the wall of an office thats about 20 x 40 in the reception room and it covers about 35% of the space, which is far more than I thought it would. The motion detection appears to work very well; the camera records when it detects motion and puts the clips in an easily accessible home page so that you don't have to go through the entire recorded segment to see when something actually happens. The wireless works really well, although my placement is fairly close to the router so I don't know what the effective range is.

Proceed with caution
First impressions. The only other review said setup was a breeze. NOT. I've done one other similar type ip camera last year. Otherwise, I would have reboxed it and sent it back to Amazon. It arrive with one half sheet of quick start instructions. More can be found on their website. Unless you have prior experience or are experienced IT person, the setup is far from intuitive or easy. The NetCam Cloud storage is awkward. I wish Apple would start producing security camera integration. Software setup and ease of use still seems to be some kind of after thought to most tech companies.

Wish it was totally cordless.
Wish it was totally cordless. The infared light bounces off your window at night so this doesn't work for a security camera you want to use thru the window to the outside

Great product
Very reliable, takes great videos, love the motion detection feature. We've had break-ins in our neighborhood, and I have it mounted near the back door. It sends me a text message and email with a photo if anyone tries to come in the door at night. My wife can also see who is at the door during the daytime before going to the door.
