Plastic and assembly required - otherwise great
Like other reviewers have already said, this clock is entirely plastic and comes to you in quarters that need to be screwed together. If you can handle the minor assembly, this looks great on the wall and, from a distance (i.e. hanging high on your wall), you can't even tell it's made of plastic. Clock is also super quiet, no audible ticking. One thing to keep in mind in case this bothers you: if you're close enough to the clock to see the brand name/writing on the clock face, it reads the brand name "FirsTime" (why not "FirstTime"??) which would bother me if I could readily see it.

This clock is BEAUTIFUL!
I LOVE this clock, yes it’s plastic but it DOES NOT look plastic at all, even when I was putting it together, I could only tell it was plastic by the feel of it not the look. It is somewhat flimsy so be careful putting it together, I had no difficulties putting it together and it worked fine once the battery went in. It does seem quite pricey for it being plastic but it looks expensive and beautiful so that’s all that matters!

Oddly impressed
I had a giant empty space between my entrance hallway and my living room. The metal one I really wanted was never in stock, so I tried this. Perfect fit, easy assembly. I almost feel like I cheated getting such a nice look with a very inexpensive choice.

Great Clock - No Issues
This clock is beautiful! I found it on Wayfair initially for $20 more, but got a better deal through Amazon with faster shipping. The clock comes in 4 pieces with 28 screws that go into the back for assembly. No broken pieces. It took about 20 minutes to put together, and the best part? It works! No issues with the hands sticking, but they are rather flimsy, so be careful not to bend them in the process. Other reviews stated there were issues with it cracking when screwing the pieces together, but just don’t over-tighten it and there won’t be problems (common sense when dealing with plastic). Looks metal, can’t even tell it’s plastic up close. There is a ticking noise, but I find it to be nostalgic and pleasant.

Don't pa $80 for this, it's not worth it.
Very disappointed in the quality of this, especially for how much I paid for it. The body is plastic that requires 25 tiny screws to assemble... the plastic seats for two of the screws broke while assembling. When assembled the frame is flimsy. I'm afraid that if it fell off the wall it would break when it hit the floor. The metal arms are a light gauge pressed metal, I think aluminum? They are so flimsy they bent while unpacking, causing the arms to contact each other while rotating... They are so cheap, the manufacturer gives you a second set... I guess because they expect them to bend? Also the hour arm connects to the clocks shaft with a simple pressure fit, no mechanical hardware to fasten it in place, so it comes off the shaft if someone touches it (like when you try to bend the arm to keep it from contacting the other arm. It also requires a AA battery that is not included, that's how cheap this is. On a positive note it is packaged well, and it does have a nice finish. This would have been worth buying if it was $25, but its overpriced at $80.

Amazing clock!
Love this clock. After trying to find one for a couple months I finally found one that I really like. It’s very lightweight and plastic but it’s made very well. I wasn’t a fan of the plastic at first but it makes it very easy to hang. The only thing is you have to use a nail to hang it because the back part is hollow, so you cannot use sticky Velcro to attach to the wall other than that we love the quality and how the bronze stands out with the brown color on a light color wall. 5 stars for me!

Nice huge clock, so problems.
This clock is huge and looks nice. You can’t tell it’s plastic. It went together fast. Seems to show accurate time.I’m knocking off 2 stars. Instructions telling you to lay it face down with the fragile hands touching your floor. Also, the bottom half sticks out about 2” from the wall and it won’t lay flat. It looks like the clock mechanism is slightly rotated backwards so its top hits the wall lifting the bottom of clock off the wall. I’ll need to see if loosening the screws to the bottom half or clock mechanism will fix this problem. A quick search showed I’m not the only person with this problem.I got this for almost half price so a good deal even with this problem. I’d only recommend this if you can get a big price break from the original price. If I figure out how to get this to lay flat I’ll up the stars. Right now it looks like a defect in the design and not worth >$100 original price.Update 3/13/24;I tried loosening screws and even reversing the mounting bracket but it still sticks out 2”. I finally used 2 sided tape to lay it flat to the wall. This could become a headache 2 times a year when I need to change the time for daylight savings time. It’s obviously defective. Not sure I want to repack it and exchange it for another one.

Yes it's plastic and has to be assembled, but definitely worth it
My husband was wanting a metal clock to hang here on our wall, upon searching and seeing the price of them, I came here. I seen all these negative reviews, but most seemed like they were from people who didn't read what they were getting in advance, and/or didn't know what they were doing putting it together. Yes it comes in a small box, with 8-10 pieces, and tiny screws. It is plastic and screws into plastic and you have to take some time and patience putting it together or the screws will strip out. The hands are very flimsy, and bend easily (it comes with and extra set). Given all that, if you take your time, and put it together correctly, once you hang it, you can't even tell it's plastic, and the size is exactly what we wanted.
