Simply Ample SA1412 Hand Blender 2-Speed 300-watt Hand Blender with Mixing Cup Included, White

I really liked this hand blender when I received it, it's beautiful! But, it seemed to overheat when I made my first batch of soap. The handle got really warm and I stopped using it cause I didn't want to burn out the motor. I ended up returning it but I must say I did like it and the price was great.

Works well for cold process soap. It replaced a cheap Walmart stick blender I had and was worth it. Motor does get warm if you run the blender for a while, so just pulse it and stir, alternating so it doesn't heat up.

I specifically ordered this to puree the vast amount of tomatoes I am currently dealing with, as using my food processor is unsatisfactory. Today I cooked (in my Duo Smart Pot, another great buy!) a gazillion ripe tomatoes, unpeeled and not seeded, for soup. Just a few whizzes with this hand blender and I have silky smooth tomato soup, nary a shred of peel nor even a seed in sight! I am very pleased! My food processor has never been able to puree unpeeled/seeded tomatoes this finely.

As a blender, this thing is amazing! It works even better/faster than I was expecting! It's perfect for blending soups (which is all I've used it for since I've had it, but I'm sure it would be great in smoothies as well). I was bummed that part of the plastic piece was cracked off when it arrived (from where the two pieces connect). It still works since the metal part is what really holds it together. And you can't see that it's broken when using it, but that was a little disappointing.

This is a great little hand blender. The only downside is that you can't have it on for more than about 30 seconds, because it will get hot. I use it for dressing, and blending soups and sauces

great just wish it had a lower speed, but well worth the money. Great company to deal with

Excellent product. I use this frequently with sauces and have perfect results every time. Remember not to use for extended periods of time without a rest inbetween.
