DowBier MacBook Decal Vinyl PVC Transparent Skin Sticker Cover Anti-Scratch Skin (13 Inch Retina A1425/A1502, Pattern B)

This is a cool looking vinyl skin. The vinyl is clear with the decal on it in white. On a scale of 1-5 quality is 1. The Apple logo when stamped out at manufacturer left sharp edges and small tears in the vinyl. With the help of a colleague I was able to get the Apple logo centered, but that left a gap on the edge (see pics). It was either line up the edges and logo not be lined up, or line up logo and edges not be lined up.Finally the skin only covers the lid, there is no protection for the bottom. Normally I would just return something this defective, but for $12, I'm not sure it's worth the hassle. I may still try and return it for something else. However, I do like the look too bad quality stinks.

*The Pitch*: I wanted to find a cool full-surface vinyl sticker to protect the top of my MacBook. This seemed to fit the bill.*The Package*: This is a retail package. The decal was wrapped in a plastic pocket inside an envelope.*The Fit*: I really like the look of this decal. I have a space gray MacBook and the white lines of the “Pattern B” design look great against the dark backdrop.This was also really easy to install. The adhesive is tacky, but not too much. If some of it makes contact with the wrong part of the Mac, it comes up easily. It took me about 45 seconds of reorienting the sticker before I got it perfectly lined up with the Apple logo in the middle.Unfortunately, as other reviewers have noted, this is *not* a perfect fit. When the Apple logo is lined up perfectly (as I did), there is still about a 2mm-3mm gap on one side and about a 1mm-2mm gap on another side.*The Good*: Beautiful high-res image on an easy to install vinyl sheet.*The Bad*: The fit isn’t great. There is a little gap on two edges of the laptop that is noticeable up close and leaves that part of the computer unprotected.*The Bottom Line*: I still like this protector. The gap as a result of a mis-fit is annoying but it’s only noticeable up close. At $12 (at the time of this review), I think it's worth the price. I would buy this again (especially considering the lack of options for full cover vinyl stickers for the MacBook).

Had to trim the skin, but after trimming it looks like it's smaller than it should be. If you take a look at the Apple logo, the skin is perfectly lined up, but if you look at the bottom right corner, it is aligned properly.

This decal looks great on my MacBook Pro, it's only $12 so for the price you can't expect it to do everything. It covers the top of the laptop and that's it but the graphic stands out really well. I'm buying another version for my husband.

This sticker is so inelegantly designed; the whole sticker has a plastic adhesion and the whole thing stays on your laptop instead of having the pattern prints stick. I hated it and couldn't even return it because I put it on my laptop. I peeled it off and threw it away. :((

Good product. The tough material provides good protection. The graphic is very cool.

The pattern is very misleading. Sticker itself is transparent so it looks very different if your MacBook is silver or gold. Also it took ages for me to make sure it sticks to the right place, although the sticker can be easily peeled up and re apply, it’s just never right! It is just one single slice of sticker, don’t think it’s worth the price. I’m returning it.
