Not what they used to be!
4 months old and already worn out, used to last 2 or more years minimum. Plastic seems softer or not as strong as in the past. This is sad because these were my favorite pumps in the past. I will start looking into a different company for my pond pumps. You used to at least get quality for the high prices. I used to haul plastics to companies in the past and learnd alot about the shear strength of different plastics. There is no excuse for this, other than selling a product made to fail prematurely for profits. This business approach will certainly backfire. Even at half the price, it's no longer worth it.

Great part
Great part for a old pump running like new.

Good product, lousy vendor.
The impeller works fine but just don't order it from Ozbo, otherwise you may never get the model you ordered. I found that out the hard way after they sent me the wrong model and size for a different pump. When I made them aware of their mistake after I got it, they "corrected" their mistake even further by sending the correct one to a wrong address on the other side of the country. Needless to say I never got the one I ordered and ended up having the scavenge parts from the wrong new one to rebuild my old one so it fit my old pump. Certainly not the ideal way of doing it, but their bad service left me no other choice.

Good Replacement
This is direct replacement for a Pondmaster Model 18B magnetic pump and it works great. Replacement is easy. Just remove 6 screws on the cover, remove the cover, remove the old impeller, insert the new impeller and replace the cover. Saved an expensive pump for a reasonable price. When testing, I just plugged it in but the impeller didn't rotate and I thought the pump was shot. But when I put it under water, it worked like a champ. Only problem is my wife couldn't wait and went out and bought a new pump for over 200 bucks. At least now I have a working spare. By the way, the manufacturer recommends cleaning it every six months. We live in PA and rather than leave it in the pond during the winter when it is not working, I plan to take it out of the pond for the winter. I think leaving it in is what caused the problem because it was working fine in the fall.

Didn’t last long very poorly construction
Like all others I replaced they don’t last very long. Poorly constructed over the past few years.Motor and impeller before this one lasted 7 years; now I can’t get 2 months out of the impellers; ;(

Worth buying
This was a great buy. My pond sprung a leak causing my pump to run without water and subsequently malfunction. The cost of a new impeller was far less than replacing the pump. In my experience this is usually the part that goes bad after a few years. But this the second pump I own that I have had to replace the impeller and I have never been disappointed with this replacement part. It is easy to install and I have had no issues. I would recommend buying this part over buying a new pump unnecessarily.

Impeller replacement
I've had to replace the impeller every 12 to 18 months because the company that put in the pond tilted the patio to have all the water go into the pond with all kinds of debris. Impeller works fine but doesn't like sand and fine particles that scratch up the impeller. Of course the pond company said it wasn't their problem. I spoke with a local company that sells the pump and they told me what the problem was.

Fit well in my old pump.
Fit well in my old pump. Don't think it pumps as fast as before but I think the pump is worn out a bit from before replacing the impeller

impeller replacement
what i dislike about the impeller is that it is usually wear and tear of the impeller and not the magnet .in an emergency i used a plastic repair kit so the impeller would bite in and turn , cost me $7(with UV).I have a back up new impeller just in case .they should just sell the plastic piece for a couple of dollars instead of the whole magnet unit .
