Works with a little attention.
One thing to take note of. When ordered the description calls out 5v usb power. When I got this the included user manual calls for a 12v 2amp power supply. Most 12v power supplies are wall chargers that use a barrel plug that needs to be removed. The fan side usb connection will need to be removed as well Another option is a usp swap for the barrel plug. Don't know why this change happened. There's no mention of the 12v 2A power requirement untill you get the user manual. Update, ordered a fan from a different company. It included a 5v usb supply with included fan speed control. So much better than this fan.Update, decided to try a normal 5v charger with this fan and it's working well. Still don't know why the manual called for a 12v power supply. I have it running to cool my modem. Will update if anything goes wrong. For now it's working well and perty quiet on the medium setting.Last update. It's been some time now and things are good. The wall chargers is still cool to the touch and the fans are still running. The modem is much cooler than without the fans. Normally warm but pertty cool now.Good quality great price, I can definitely recommend it after you get past the power supply misunderstanding.

Just Keeps On Working And Working--
This fan has been sitting atop my Internet Hotspot device and it has been running 24-hours-per-day for a few weeks now. -- It never heats up ---It has never failed except in a power outage --I can not even hear it running, it is so quiet ---I have to put my hand above it to feel the air it expels when I want to make sure it is still running --- This is an amazingly high-quality item and it was very economical to purchase and it uses very little electric ---and it keeps my electronic device cool -- I am always going to have one of these on hand and, in fact, I have a spare in my desk drawer just in case ..... but I doubt I am ever going to have to use the spare. I love this little fan....dearly love it!

Great product!
Plug & play, no hassle. Fan works great, is quiet, and is keeping the device at a much better operating temperature. I’m sure anyone who purchases this fan will be more than satisfied. Great product, and I plan to purchase a few more just because.

Read product details before purchase, noise at low setting
Purchased this to cool a router in our family room. Upon installing at low power, the fans make noise. Quoted from the description "At the lowest speed setting, the fan blades will not rotate smoothly due to insufficient starting voltage, resulting in a noise that is normal" You will get a clicking noise. At high power the noise of the fans is smooth but loud. If you are installing in a non living space, this will not be an issue. If not, you will have quite a bit of noise. I unfortunately did not read the description, so I had to replace the fans with something different.

Durable quiet fans works as expected.
Excellent fans but they could be more powerful. However, they get the job done for a small crypto mining rig.

Working well for unintended purpose of cooling laptop with failed internal fan
I've been happy to use this fan for an unintended purpose that it was not advertised to be able to serve, but it has been working great for several months.I have a 2013 Dell laptop whose internal fan has failed and therefore cannot be operated for more than a few minutes before it threatens to overheat. Given the age of the laptop, I cannot fault manufacturer construction quality. The laptop's performance would continue to be adequate for my needs, so adding this cooling case fan nicely extends the useful life. This cooling case fan is quite sturdy, so I am able to use some tape to secure it to the bottom of my laptop so it remains in the correct X-axis/Y-axis position where it blows into the laptop's air intake vents. Then the laptop sits perched comfortably on top of the cooling case. Of course the result becomes immovable but that's fine for my needs. Various utilities can monitor and report on internal temperatures of a laptop, I happen to use SpeedFan and am happy with the temperatures reported. I can feel good air flow coming out of the laptop's air exhaust vents; and the surfaces of the laptop that would feel hot if the laptop was overheating now feel nice and tepid.Although I routinely sit with my ears about 24 inches from the cooling case fan, it is quiet enough to not be bothersome. It can even be considered to usefully generate very even white noise.Note this unadvertised purpose will not necessarily work for every laptop.

A little extra help to keep mini pc cooler.
I am using this on a mini computer, seems to help moving air to keep the computer cooler . Wasn't that expensive to help so I'm please with it.

One of the simplest things to put together BUT
I didn't want to do the work. And these folks have. I absolutely LOVE IT!Pros: It works like a charm keeping routers, laptops, YOU coolExamples: Wifi link in the garage gets super hot in the summer time. But this did the trick so my speeds are back up and connections are not dropping like they used to! I also use it on a verizon 5G wifi cell modem. It's like it was made for it. I also use it under my high performance laptop to keep it cool and this does it so so so well. No laptop fans buzzing all the time. Instead with two of these fans running in my office I barely notice them. The noise at best is white noise, but when you're working or on a call I would challenge you to hear them going.Cons: I am not a fan of the button control. I know why it was done this way, but I'm not a fan of it. When the power goes off, this won't turn back on. So that is a major bummer. I get away with it using UPS units, but a rocker switch would have made more sense. Instead of three speeds there's at least two and when the power blinks it comes back on when the power comes back on.Honestly I could change it myself but I'm so lazy lolThese folks have done a fantastic job with this and frankly I'm sucker for folks willing to put in a little time to innovate something that patches a major hole in router and modem cooling. Thanks for making these, love it!
