My Mom and Sis LOVE this!
Ordered this for my family. They like to use garlic and onion powders for convenience. This Mccormick Onion Powder is their FAV one!The powder quality and flavor are very good. It has a long shelf life, but never really LASTS TOO LONG... 😆 It's a very good size/value, for the price, the container functions well and it's an easy cooking ingredient!Based on my family's feedback...I would certainly RECOMMEND this one!!

Taste is great
I grew up where my mom would buy spices from the supermarket in small 1 or 2oz plastic containers and they were either store brand or something like $1 store name brands such as "Spice Supreme" or similar and nothing against them, they come in handy in a pinch, especially when the wallet isn't so full. However, McCormick just hits right, it has flavor, a great smell and it takes my cooking to the next level.I honestly never understood the difference between the cheap stuff and the higher priced name brand products, but I can now that I am out in the world on my own, buying my own food and spices, making my own pasta sauce and seeing the difference a name brand can make... it does make a big difference sometimes. However, price of this product have been driven upwards in the past few years and I do not understand why. I used to get a 2.5oz bottle of McCormick Onion/Garlic powder in stores for less than $3 in the past, and now it is roughly $4-5 for the same size bottle and not always filled.Amazon has come through with the larger sizes being fairly cheaper than grocery stores, but as much as I like McCormick, the price justification isn't always there. I've been purchasing McCormick products for myself and my mother for the past few years and she enjoys it, but also believes the price doesn't justify the taste in foods and will buy the store brand or another well known brand that is sometimes cheaper. But, for what it's worth, Amazon has been a life saver when making these purchases because in stores it is hard to find the larger containers and when I do find them, they are way overpriced (the 22oz container at time of purchase on Amazon was $13.02, currently it is $12.95 from the same buyer, but in my local store it is $17!!!). I do try to watch for price drops and other sellers who sell the product at reduced prices, or a similar version. Currently, from another seller it is $7.99 for a 22oz container of McCormick granulated onion powder, and it tastes/works the same for my application (I understand it may not for everybody) and the price is literally half the cost.Outside of the prices being ridiculous for some simple spices, the product itself is fantastic and is one of my favorite to use. However, because of how crazy it is to find in stores and prices being driven up, I rely on amazon a lot more for this product and have not been disappointed since. There are other options for brands, but if you like a specific brand/product, there should be no reason why you are forced away from it. McCormick is a great brand and quality product and I do what I can to find good deals to continue enjoying it!

Very much a powder
It is very powdery. As it almost like dusting powder. I didn't expect that but I'll use it up. I have since ordered the granulated onion powder but haven't opened it yet.

Quality onion powder
Better price point if you buy in this quantity. Smell, taste, etc is typical for anything I have bought previously. Doesn't seem to smell beyond the container. Would buy again.

Only one I buy!!
McCormick makes an excellent product! This is a very fine onion powder with a very rich flavor…..we need to cut out salt in our diet so this adds more flavor to anything you cook!! I use a lot of fresh produce and still add this to my cooking….soups..stews…meats etc.
