This was the right part for the job. Fairly easy to install too.I still don't know what the purpose of this part is for. My mower worked just fine without it. I only replaced it because I noticed the cable lead had broken off of it. If anybody knows what it does, write a reply.thanks.

Replaced this safety kill switch on my Toro 22inch Recycler (Model No. 20067 - 270000001 and up.) lawnmower with a B&S engine. The ear for the lead connector had broken, so the mower couldn’t start. I removed the cowling, but not sure you need to if you can see the switch well. Cheap fix. Probably saved $50 to $100 and took about 15 minutes.

I was able to cut my lawn 1 time and motor stopped working again.Installation instructions, with pics, would also help.How can I bypass this useless switch?
