Sized wrong
Does not run true to size. The large was more like a med.

Just OK.
The fabric started to “pill” within weeks It still looks good, but I was expecting more.

Nice fit and feel. But the color is off.
The "Navy" is much more like a Violet color.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood--great cashmere cardigan sweater; consider sizing up
I always wanted a Mr.-Roger's-type sweater and this one fits the bill. The Cahsmeren 100% Cashmere Classic Cardigan Sweater is exactly what it should be.The sweater is 100% cashmere wool and is soft to the touch. Of note, there are a gazillion grades of cashmere out there. This is what I would classify as mid-range--it has essential softness of cashmere but is not the softest cashmere I have ever touched. That said, it is far softer than most run-of-the-mill wool sweaters and there is zero scratchiness or stiffness that you get in your average wool sweater. It also has the excellent insulating properties of cashmere--it is far warmer than you would expect in such a light weight sweater. All told, I am very happy with the look, weight, and feel of the fabric. My sweater is a dark, rich, burgundy color and it really has a nice texture and feel to it. The styling is classic, with a deep v-neck and 5 buttons. I like the gusseted sleeves, as my arms are somewhat shorter than average for the usual large size and this way you can easily cinch the sleeves back without having to cuff them.My sweater is a large: it fit just about right for a shirt but was a little tight for a sweater. The thing is, most people layer up underneath a sweater, so if you want to use it to layer up over more than a T-shirt, you will want to size up. The construction appears to be solid. The washing instructions suggest either hand wash in cold water or dry cleaning. It's nice to have the hand washing option, but I think I'll take this one to the cleaner--I have a personal history of shrinking my sweaters or blocking them in an uneven way.All in all, I am very satisfied with this sweater and I it is a great addition to my wardrobe. It's not 'cutting edge' in fashion, but I really like the classic look and it has excellent warmth and feel to the fabric. (... And it is a perfect swap for you suit jacket, when you come home and change into your sneakers. All I need is the trolley....) Recommended.

Simple, But Beautiful, Burgundy Sweater that is Very Lightweight, Comfortable, and Warm!
I love the color burgundy; it is my favorite color. Many of my clothes in my wardrobe are burgundy. It is a warm, dark, cozy earth color. I couldn’t wait to receive the high-end cashmere burgundy sweater from Cashmeren. I normally wear size L shirts and sweaters. The website states that it is recommended that customers wear one size larger than what they normally wear. Well, I didn’t take the time to read the small print. However, the size L sweater appears to fit me fine. It is not too tight or too loose. The sleeves are rather long. I don’t think I could’ve wore a size XL. The sleeves would’ve been way too long and would’ve dangled past my fingertips. Also, according to one of my coworkers, Sam, who is very fashion conscious, only one button should be buttoned. Sam said to button the second one from the top. Another coworker referred to my sweater as “the Mr. Roger’s sweater.” It does look very studious and conservative. A male librarian might wear it. My grandfather, if he was still alive, might wear it while smoking a pipe and reading his newspaper. I like wearing it because it is very comfortable and keeps me warm. The material feels almost like cotton. It is very thin and lightweight, but it keeps me warm when I am typing at my computer at home or at work. I’ve also worn it to church. It looks great over a black dress shirt or a black polo shirt. Any dress shirt or polo shirt with a solid dark earth color, except burgundy, would greatly compliment this cashmere sweater. I haven’t cleaned it yet. I’m very careful when eating so that I don’t spill anything on it. This sweater cannot be machine or hand washed. It has to be dry cleaned. I keep it neatly folded inside a dresser drawer; I never hang it on a hanger.

Runs small - Order The next size UP
I’m no expert on cashmere, in fact this is the only cashmere I own, but this Cashmeren cardigan resembles the softness of my Banana Republic Italian Merino wool sweater that I bought many years ago. That same sweater costs about the same as this Cashmeren does today. This sweater definitely runs small, so be sure to order the next size up. The product details and buyer feedback does make this perfectly clear on the web page. The sweater is snuggly soft and does not feel too hot. It’s great to wear in front of the TV on a cold winter’s night or to wear to a friend’s house, it’s pretty casual looking. The color is a rich burgundy and looks great with jeans. While the cardigan seems pretty durable over all the pockets are attached to the sweater at the bottom on the inside with a single piece of yarn attached at each corner rather than being knit into the body. I can see this being snagged or breaking off with continued use, possibly making a hole in the front of the sweater. I guess the price is on par with something similar to the Cashmeren, but I still feel it is a little high. Overall the cardigan is pretty nice.
