The media could not be loaded. The new Orcam battery pack is the size of a lipstick case with the length of a credit card . This company has come a long way from the first battery pack the size of a large stapler or the width and length of a dollar bill. This one has a clip and can be carried on a lanyard, purse. clipped to a pocket, any manner of ways. It easy to use and carry. I have uploaded a video for those with no vision to listen to and also two photos for those with some vision. Great change up from this company .

This made the OrCam able to be used for a longer period, works great.

This charger only lasted 2 months

The invention is so helpful to my wife who is dealing with macular degeneration. Brilliant!

OK I just got it today and it’s charging and we’ll see how things work out I will update this review in the future. The first thing is if you’re totally blind there’s some aspects of this they may be a problem they talk about the white wire holding one of the charging cables and the charger itself has four lights on it that tells you the level of power but if you can’t see the lights then you would have to put the unit into it to find out what the level of charge is or what level of charge you have left I believe. Also the video that goes with this is really not so explanatory as it should be it assumes that you know an awful lot about the cables and the electrical hook upAlso the magnetic feature that I still don’t quite understand but it appears that the cable attaches to the main unit without cable magnetically so you don’t have to put it in there and there’s something you need to do to the charger to make it through this but I have someone who can see work on that and maybe they will be able to understand it better. The other issue about this is as soon as you order the main unit and you think you’re going to need more than 90 minutes of a charge of the time you need to go ahead and order this charger as soon as possible if not order it when you order the main unit it took more than usual time I would say about 10 days to get it a lot of messages from Amazon stating that I should cancel the order and re-order that they were quite sure how it was going to turn out but ultimately it turned out fine lived with the fact that it was gonna take more than a couple days to get. Overall I’m very satisfied with the unit and this charger I’m sure will work fine it’s very small it’s about the size of a pocket knife with a cut out in it that you put the unit into. Good luck I wish you the best I hope this review helps you and I plan on updating in the future as I get more used to the unit OK I’ve had it for two weeks and this is my follow up it works great the initial charge did take more than two or three hours it actually took overnight for it to become fully charged. It’s incredibly small I’m almost afraid to lose it. But I would go ahead and order this right away since an hour and a half life on the initial unit goes by quicker than you think or especially if you start downloading peoples faces and stuff it eats the battery alive. Good luck in your efforts and your life I hope this helps you have a nice day my only recommendation would be that they make the unit bright orange or bright green so that you can find it if you can see a little bit. Rather than black black is always a tough color to deal with except if you’ve got a white floor :-)OK I have now been using this for one whole year. It has become an important part in my life the only thing is some aspects of it are fragile like the cord that you use to connect to the unit to charge it it’s not modular it’s all one piece and you can pull the cord out of the brick that goes into the wall with just a simple flick of the hand and then you have to get another magnetic charging cord. You need to send yourself an email with all the critical information on it as far as the make and exact unit number as well as the serial number because this will be asked every time you call also the 800 number to call so that you can go back to this email and recover all this information depending on who you speak to. Customer service does work well and is dependable but they can’t know everything so it’s up to you to keep track of the records of where things go and what they are. So after a year I’m very pleased to have it I’ve had minor problems very frustrating but mostly frustrating because you depend on it so much that it breaks or it gets into a strange loop you really need to have someone in your world that can see and figure it out. For a device through the blind it’s amazing they have so many tiny parts and times . They really need to think about is this tiny part necessary or can we glue it to something bigger :-). It was well worth the investment and I’m happy I bought it I will continue to use it even with my current frustrations of the charging cable. Take care I hope you found this review insightful :-)
