Two Twigs Crochet Hook Set with Ergonomic Cushion Grip Handles, Set of 29 Piece

Seems like a nice, complete set and the case is very convenient. I thought I would use this as a travel set, but I was disappointed to see that the hooks don't have the corresponding letters on them--which means I'd have to be looking up which hook to use when a pattern refers to a letter, or when I wanted to quickly grab a certain lettered hook. I much prefer to have both mm's and letters on the handle. Additionally, although the handle grips feel fine, the edges of the rubber are sloppy in places, where it meets the metal and at the bottom end. I'd be forever pulling at the rubber to make it look neat and clean, but I suspect that would mess up the grips. Lastly, I also noticed with at least ONE hook that the grip and the hook are not aligned properly, so the hook is slight off-set to one side when you lay the hook flat on its back.Instead of keeping it, I'll be giving it as a gift to a friend who wants to re-learn to crochet. It's inexpensive and will work for her starting out. If you can handle the issues I've mentioned above, definitely consider picking this up as a secondary or travel set. If you're looking for a primary set of hooks, I suggest you try a different, slightly higher end, set. I won't mention any brands specifically because I don't think it's appropriate to directly compare this set to more expensive ones...it's not fair considering the price point.--Review by account-holder's wife.

This is a great bag! Sturdy, washable (a must for me), and the fold-over flap is brilliant for keeping my hooks in the bag and off the floor. My favorite part is the fold-out zippered pocket. CUTE! and functional. Big enough to get my fingers in to retrieve desired items. I really appreciate the magnetic snap. Arthritis sufferers know how intimidating a snap can sometimes be. The bag comes with crochet hooks, obviously, but also has markers and a counter. I tried every marker and was able to easily open and close them all. The counter is also easy to grip and turn, even on a bad day. I was concerned that the measuring tape was plastic (I'm an old-fashioned cloth girl myself) but actually like it better! (old dog learned new trick) There are needles included that are easy to thread (thank you!) and hold. They are wider in diameter so you don't have to grip as hard, but not so wide that they interfere with your pattern. The snipper/scissor works both right and left handed. The crochet hooks are THE BOMB! Comfortable fit/grip. And if your hands perspire the hook does not get slippery. Great range of sizes and color-coded so you don't have to search (or try to read the really small writing) I have recommended this bag to all my yarn friends and family. Thank you Two Twigs!

I was looking at ergonomic hooks when I found these in a nice carrier with extra tools, and on sale. I got them in December, but the case was defective. When I returned them to Amazon, I got an email from Two Twigs apologizing and offering to send me another. I replied that I had already sent them back when I received their email, and I'd look again in the spring. But they send me a replacement anyway. What customer service!! I look forward to doing more business with them. I have been using the set, and it is exactly as promised: the hooks, the case (not defective), all the little accessories. I do recommend this set for anyone who crochets while traveling.

This is a handy crochet hooks set with items most often used for projects. The case itself is good quality, well-stitched and good materials. The outside is easy to clean if soiled and the inside is well-constructed for storing the items. The items are fair quality. The hooks appear to have been dipped into the cushioned grip material, because the edges of the cushions aren't trim and flush with the metal, a bit sloppy on some. I used a razor knife to trim them myself. The metal is not best quality metal. The other items (snips, plastic yarn needles, stitch markers) are made of cheap plastic and come in cheap plastic baggies. The snips have their own pocket, but the other items all go into the same pocket, which makes retrieving a single item difficult. This is not something I would give as a gift without first ensuring the hooks look nice and replacing the plastic baggies with something nicer, like cloth or polyvinyl bags. It's ok as a stand-by replacement of your own set for when you travel, since it does have everything all together in one convenient clutch wallet sized kit. Overall, if you buy it for the stated regular price of $40+ then you're paying too much. I bought mine for $19.99 and I'd say that's what it's worth.

Product is every thing you need for crochet projects at home or on the road. The case is vinyl which I originally didn't think I'd like but it's actually convenient to have something that is water and stain repellent. More importantly, the crochet hooks are ergonomically friendly (more so than traditional plastic or metal hooks). In addition to hooks sized from 2.0mm - 6.0mm, it includes measuring tape, stitch markers, a manual stitch counter, darning needles and mini scissors. This set isn't going to contain all the hooks you'll ever need but it's likely to be the one you turn to most often. Highly recommend.

It's so convenient for traveling!! My husband drives and I crochet :) I like to switch ideas and so then I need a new needle size so this works perfect :) If I could change anything, I'd like to see the Letter engraved next to the 6mm etc.... :)I find myself crocheting faster and faster because the grips are perfect! Plus the tension in my projects are equal because if the grips. Strongly recommend!!

I bought these Crochet Ergonomic Hooks because of all the good reviews, however I have problems with the yarn splitting and snagging when I'm doing half double, double and treble crochet. They are ok when I do the chain and single crochet. I had other people tried it and they have the same problems too. I bought the Susan Bates and I don't have the problem with the yarn splitting or snagging.I tried both brands of hooks going back and forth more than once, different work and Susan Bates hooks do the job for me 100% better.
