I received the book a little damaged, but everything inside is what’s important! I love the recipes! So far so good!

I love the cookbook but i order two of them but i need just one. Im keep the use one sending the new one back. I need ups to pick the package up. I can't print the laber out.

Well, now I know what a chocolate ganache is. Holy crap! I had no idea pastry could get so complicated. Good thing there are a lot of photos in this book. He beats the topic to death with every kind of cake recipe and frosting recipe and piping technique imaginable. After you study this book (and you will have to study it...it is no simple silly read...it is a professional pastry course) you will probably be able to get a job as executive pastry chef at the Luxor in Las Vegas!

The Cake Boss is the best!!!!!!!!!! I have bought all of his books, and have regretted none! I have NEVER had a recipe fail me!!!!! I love the way he explains everything! He is my "Forever" Boss!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Buddy, for all you are and all you do........You are not only a wonderful baker/cook, but a wonderful family man! I watch absolutely EVERY episode on TV. You are the best!!!!!!!

I purchased this for my granddaughter who loves the Cake Boss! She loved the instructions and recipes on how to achieve beautiful cakes. She plans on making many of the recipes and trying her hand at decorating. She was so inspired by the book that I ordered the other books by Buddy Valastro for her. The step-by-step instructions and colorful photos make this book a plus.

Great book

Very nice soft covered book with directions and recipes tips and tricks. Great for the beginner! I read the Cake Boss and this one has all the stuff I wish I knew from that book. Love this, wish it was spiral bound to leave open on the counter with bigger print. Other than that wonderful!

it is a good cook book but i think it is selling itself mostly based on the name, cake boos.

Técnicas fáciles de seguir con fotos. He realizado dos recetas: el pastel de zanahoria y el de vainilla con el decorator's buttercream y las dos han salido bien. Muy recomendable.

Excelente. Gostei das dicas práticas que, como iniciante, ajudaram a aperfeiçoar minhas técnicas. As receitas são muito semelhantes as que temos no Brasil.

This book is not for anyone who already knows even the most rudimentary techniques for decorating a cake. I was so disappointed in it that I couldn't give it to the recipient intended for fear that she would have been insulted. I probably knew the "tips" that were in this book when I was ten years old. And, seriously, pink frosting does not make a cake into a "girl's birthday cake", and blue into a "boy's birthday cake". Ouch. The tv show is entertaining. This book is ok for a very young child first venturing into a kitchen, pastry bag in hand. Not for anyone else.

I have both the physical copy of this book in paperback, plus the version on Kindle. It's a good book, and it starts the reader off with the very basics at first, which equipment to use, Chef Vallastro then takes you through various techniques and also has a troubleshooting part when the pitfalls are, so that they may be avoided. As this is an American book, some of the measurements have to be rejigged into something even I can understand! There are recipes which may be just certain ones which I've found (unless they were tweaked to cater to a more UK palate) didn't go down so well with my family. Having said that, I enjoyed reading it just as a book.
