** This review is for the Instant Vortex 6QT XL Air Fryer, 4-in-1I'm very late to the air fryer game. I didn't think I needed one (I probably don't lol) but I use it ALL the time now.Like many others said - it has a strong plastic smell out of the box but, knowing this, I opened it out on my deck and let it air out there for a few hours.I haven't really seen another air fryer in action but as far as I can say - this is quieter than expected, easy to clean and does a great job.There are a lot of presets and follows the same basic interface as most Instant Pot products so it was easy for me to pick up on quickly. I don't use most of them and it's easy enough to adjust both time and temp.The basket is a really good size so you can fit a decent amount of food in there and it's super easy to clean.I'm really happy with my purchase.

I've used it quite a bit for air frying and it works great. I've also used it for baking things like 2 potatoes instead of heating up the entire oven. No issues with sticking and the interface is easy. Nice to have the flip food prompt too. The only slight negative is the grate design takes a little more attention to clean than some other designs.

Love the size and the variety of functions. Preheats quickly. Looks nice enough that I don’t mind leaving it on my countertop. Great quality at a great price

I use this air fryer so much now that I have my first one. I was super glad I read the reviews as they mentioned a plastic smell when you first run it. Some people recommended running it without food a few cycles and I sure am glad I did. In my opinion it is a MUST that you run it about 4-5 cycles without food and be prepared for the area to smell like overpowered plastic for a while. It would probably been better if I sprayed the tray with cooking oil in retrospect. It took about two days for the plastic smell to go away in the room itself but did not affect the food smell or taste at all when I finally cooked with it.The basket has a tray with silicone bits that keep it in place. These silicone bits can be removed for cleaning which was glad to see. I started using parchment liners which makes clean up easier but it was pretty easy to clean already. Having this air fryer makes my microwave lonely I think, ha! I've used it to cook entire meals down to quick crisp touch up of french fries.I believe the only thing I don't like is all the beeping it does. It beeps for warm up which is not optional and it beeps half way through cooking for flipping. The warm up process takes about 2-3 minutes. I wish there was a setting to turn off beeping but its not a deal breaker of course.The size is great as well. It's about the size of a small bucket. It sits next to my Keurig like I have two little star wars drones working for me, lol.I am really glad I got this one as my first air fryer!
