Great kettle! Still beautiful after months of daily use
The media could not be loaded. ย We love this tea kettle. We have had it for several months now.I wanted to wait to review it until we had been using it for several months so I could either confirm, or debunk the issues others have had with it. So.. here it goes.We use our kettle at least once daily. We have hard water, but use a filter because hard water is known to screw up things like these. Our kettle came perfect, no chips, no scratches, no paint missing. Packaged so very well. It is absolutely gorgeous as you can see.We have a gas stove, so if any stove will cause discoloration, ours should. We have used it with tea bags in the kettle, and without tea bags. We have warmed water, and re-warmed water. The whistle is not super loud when it first starts, but gets louder the longer it stays on the fire as the water boils more. Now, care. We clean it with nothing but water and (if needed) a mild dish soap. Then rinse with water. Then dry with a soft dish towel. It normally just sits on the stove, because it is so pretty. We never wash it while it is hot. This can warp any kind of cooking pot, pan or kettle. If we are cooking something else on the stove, we remove the kettle so it doesnโt get burns from the other burners. After almost 6 months of daily use, it still looks like the day we got it. The whistle sounds the same, no knicks or scratches in the paint. We are very pleased with this purchase. Just make sure to handle it appropriately, just like when you get a Teflon coated pan. It wonโt last and the Teflon comes out of you care for it improperly.I hope this helps! ๐

Best Teapot
I found that this teapot is the best one I have ever owned. Water stays hot for another cup of tea. The color and shape are eye-catching. I also like the handle (I can take it right off the stove and handle is not hot at all to the touch). The whistle is perfect (I can hear it when I'm in another room) and as soon as you turn the gas off the whistle dies down. Be sure to follow instructions and make sure you put enough water in the teapot. For me, it's the perfect teapot You will love it as I do !

Gentle Whistling Tea Kettle
The media could not be loaded. ย As you can see from the video, the tea kettle has a gentle, almost "airy" whistle rather than an annoying high-pitched squeel. The soft-touch handle stayed cool and the trigger to release the spout lid was easy to use. The lid snaps into place and does not fall out when pouring. While determining whether the water was at the fill line wasn't difficult, I did have to lean down and peer into the kettle to see the fill line. My height blocked the marking on the inside of the kettle. In speaking with Pykal, the marking is at the base of the spout (to prevent water from boiling up into the spout). The spout is just above the transition from the stainless steel to the red coating. This is easily viewed while filling. So, like all other tea kettles, as long as the water stays below the spout it should not spew water all over the stove. I like the two included infusers, although I don't really have any idea of how to use them. I haven't yet registered the product to get the book "Master the art of mkaing Perfect Tea" so I'm hoping that there may be some tips in there. What I did like about this kettle is that the water inside seemed to stay hot longer than other kettles I have purchased. What I also like about this kettle is that it is decorative, so I can leave it out as a decoration and if any wants tea I can actually use it to boil water as well. It is also easy to clean, as the hole for the water is large enough to allow your hand to get inside the kettle for cleaning.I did purchase one of the Pykal glass kettles as well and I use that daily for iced tea - boil the water in it, brew, let it cool and put it in the fridge. This kettle I use for hot tea and instant oatmeal as I'd rather boil the water than use the microwave.

Worth the Money
I think this is pricy for a tea kettle, but I think it's worth it. it is sturdy and heavier weight. It holds a lot of water. The whistle is not obnoxiously loud. The handle is long. The handle does stay cooler. I can feel the warmth, but the handle is not hot by any means. That is important to me. The most important feature to me.....this kettle doesn't spit or leak water when pouring. The base is very wide, so even if the flame is on high they won't be licking up the sides of this kettle. The tea steepers are made of silicone. The silicone ball that holds the loose tea fits snugly into the stainless base. The ball goes into the mug and the ball has a long attached silicone stem. It stays cool. Also included are silicone disks to put the hot steeper ball on after steeping. It is beautiful to look at on the stove. The steel is highly polished and the red color is a true lipstick red. Back to the price..... My previous kettle was twenty some odd dollars. The enamel started wearing, the pour spout mechanism broke. I never dropped it. It just broke. I only had it a couple of years. Since I make a lot of tea, I decided to get a good sturdy kettle. This one looks and feels like it will last for years, but. even if it doesn't I like the beauty of this. I like looking at it.

Functions fine, lid Can be hard to handle because the non silicone gets very hot
I love the red and the shape of the kettle, but remove the lid with care, the metal edges get painfully hot! It also is a little difficult take off when it is hot

Well made kettle
The media could not be loaded. ย I really like this stove top kettle. It looks very stylish, is very well made. All the parts work well. Boils very quickly on my induction hob. The handle stays cool. The whistle is very effective but not ear piercing. There was a minor issue with the first order. I contacted the company who replaced it immediately. Excellent customer service. Very friendly and helpful. Would definately recommend.

A Lovely stove top kettle
A Lovely stove top kettle but filling with water can be awkward. it is almost impossible to refill through the spout so you do have to take the lid off. The handle can get in the way of the tap and if you're refilling after just emptying from a boil then the steam will burn. Other than that, it is much quicker to come to a boil than my other stove top kettle

exact copy of the WESCO .
We have been trying for ages to replace our original WESCO [ made in germany ] kettle, but at a quoted price of a ยฃ180 we decided to give it a miss despite 10 years of service.Looking through Amazon we came across an exact copy with a couple of design changes, better lid handle and circular rings around the body, we decided to give it a go we are not dissapointed slightly lighter than the original WESCO boils quicker though because of this , so only time will tell. Their advertising states german technology but doesn't mention made in chine .
