A Tangled Web
This book serves as a good purpose for young readers out here! First purpose...Weed Out Who Your Real Friends Are! Second purpose...Not Everything That Glitters Is Gold! Third purpose...If You Don't Stand Up For Nothing, You'll Fall For Anything! There's other purposes but I'm not going to preach them but this was a good book & a good tangled web it was weaved. It was only a matter of time before that web spun out of control & once it did, I couldnt wait to get to the next page to find out what was going down! In the end, I felt bad for the Mimi & Giselle..they got played in the worst way. But in the end, only one of them got a second chance to really live their life!

SOOO Good!
I really thought that this book was good. It took me only a few days to read it. The author had me really into the book once i reached the middle of the book. I couldn't believe the ending. Shawn/James really got what he deserved in the end and i was so happy that he did. I couldn't stand him. I'm happy that things worked out good for Giselle too even though she went through mad s**t during her life.

Crisscrossed
Daddy's Little Girl, by Brittani Williams, introduced Giselle Doran, the daughter of big- time dealer Terrell (Big T) who made sure that she had everything her heart desired. Giselle adored her father and no one compared to him. When her mother was tragically taken away from her, she stepped up her game and took on her mother's role as caregiver to Terrell and her brother, Akil.Terrell introduced Giselle to Shawn, his new business partner, and for her it was love at first sight. She took on a `by any means necessary' approach to snag him but will the fruits of her labor be fulfilling?Mimi Gordon's upbringing was nothing close to Giselle's. She had been abandoned by her mother and raised by Grandmom, her grandmother. She was never interested in thugs until she met Tony, of whom Grandmom disapproved. Tony showed Mimi the life of long money and being `that' girl. When they broke up, had she learned her lesson about loving a `bad' boy? Then James came along and not under the best circumstances. As their relationship blossomed, would James provide her with the love and security that she desperately seeks? Or would he prove to be worse than Tony?Giselle's and Mimi's lives collided, head on, from two totally different directions. The paths were laid for this collision by the men they loved, but how? Brittini Williams will guide you through the tangled web in `Daddy's Little Girl'.This novel is excellently written. At first glance, the years the chapters are dated are not chronological and would appear to confuse the reader. The contrary happened as I read it. I followed along easily and did not have to refer back to see if I missed something. The story played like a movie in my mind which, to me, validated that Ms. William's characters were developed well. There was no struggle in reading this book. The transition between chapters was smooth and the air of mystery she created was awesome. The way the relationships between the characters unraveled was what sealed the deal in my rating for this novel. I recommend that all avid urban fiction readers pick this book up now!Reviewed by Darnetta FrazierAPOOO BookClub

(RAW Rating: 3.5) - Life with the bad guys
DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL by Brittani Williams introduces us to three characters in Philadelphia. Giselle is the daughter of the top hustler in who worships the ground she walks on, giving her everything money can buy. She is closely watched by her father, yet finds herself wildly attracted to one of his partners. He is older and knows how her father feels about her so he keeps his distance. Mimi, whose mother blamed her for ruining her life because she felt she was too young to have a child, is raised by her strict grandmother and Mimi feels imprisoned by the rules, but never really follows them. She attracts a handsome drug dealer and because her grandmother works nights, she is able to see him until one day it all blows up in her face. James, the son of a hustler he met only a few times, wants to take over the city as the biggest drug dealer and he'll go to any length to do so. James begins to plot to take over Giselle's father's business. The lives of these three young people cross as they travel the clubs and nightspots of the city, looking for love, money and action.Brittani Williams has spun a complicated tale of love and betrayal that holds your interest until the end. The characters are very busy and sometimes it gets just a bit confusing with all the subplots and secondary characters wandering in and out of the picture. There are many steamy love scenes and the naiveté of the young women is very believable as they search for love in all the wrong places. In the end, the story comes together.Reviewed by Alice Holmanof The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers

This book was wicked! loved it, highly recommended! you will not be disappointed! A Defo Buy!Daddy's little girl tells the story of two young girls: Mimi Gordan and Giselle Doran.
