I have used many surge protectors and never had a problem until Opentron. DON'T buy it, even though its "Amazon Approved." The ground part of plug broke off in the outlet. I checked the plug and the ground is very flimsy. Used other surge protectors in the same outlet so the problem is with the Opentron surge protector. SEE pictures.

The white receptacles are not tight in frame and when removing plugs the receptacles pull out of the frame 1/8 to 3/16". You have to push them back in. Bought two of these and they both have the same issue. not exactly premium quality!

The surge protecter is built very well. Heavy and sturdy to the feel. The measurement are a little off due to the screws. Take into account if you need something for 1.57, I measured roughly 1 3/4 with the protruding screws.

After 3 weeks it is not working

I mounted this on my garage wall because we only have one outlet for that whole space. For the two months we've used this product it has worked fine. We used it to plug in timers for alternating heat lights and then night time heat lamps for our garden starter seeds during colder months. We will now be able to use the extra outlets for other uses as well. I'm a handy woman and I need more places to plug in my power tools. I would lengthen the cord six to eight inches.

After 5 months it stopped working and burned my electric domestics

I built a wall hanger for my t.v and I needed the thinnest surge protector to hide all the wires behind the wall hanger, this worked perfectly. I was able to plug all the entertainment electronics in one protector.

Although these were not advertised as being waterproof/resistant I am still using them in our pool house where we have lots of humidity and they are working out very well. I did put those childproof plugs in the areas that aren't being used at the moment hoping it will keep moisture out as best we can. Love that they have two brackets to install rather than doing the whole hit and miss game with trying to get screws to line up with the holes on the back....made install a breeze.
