I have ordered many Korean chili pastes and sauces that claimed to be spicy hot, only to be disappointed. This sauce is on the money. Doesn't disappoint at all. I put four drops on my finger and tasted it directly. It has a serious bite. If you need an honest comparison, try these two. If you are familiar with Sriracha sauce, this is almost five times hotter. Louisiana hot sauce? (I sip that out of shot glasses) I'd rate it 8 to 10 times hotter.This is precisely what I need to add some kick to homemade kimchi and other dishes. A word of warning, though. Unless you are into pain, do not use this as a stand-alone hot sauce for anything unless you are having a 'whose is bigger' contest with your friends.On another note, this is not just a pure heat sauce. It has many other ingredients that give a good flavor, albeit slightly sweet, so keep that in mind and adjust the sweetness level of any dish you plan to spice up with it.If you like medium heat in your dishes. I would suggest starting with just a half teaspoon of this sauce per liter volume of food and adjust from there.

Some reviews state this has no flavor. I disagree. It is a sweet Smokey bourbon flavor up front. It is hot. No doubt but not an unbearable heat. Takes a bit to build up. I would compare temp to Da Bomb often seen on Hot Ones. It has a long last heat that you will feel on your lips and appendages for up to 30 minutes. Not painful but you know it is there.I wouldn’t slather wings with this. Not because of the heat. It isn’t that kind of flavor. It is more something to compliment other flavors rather than being the main focus of flavor.I dab this on tacos, in soups, in my stir fry, etc.

I like/enjoy hot foods, but I never ate super hot peppers, so I think I have medium tolerance for hot foods.This sauce delivers a big punch without changing the taste of the food, which is great in my view.I dislike a hot sauce when it is overly sour/vinegary, and it changes the taste of my foods.Here's how to describe the flavor.If you've eaten Buldak Spicy Ramen before, it is almost like that, minus the seasoning/flavor.So it is just straight up heat with little to no flavor.You may find that by itself the sauce is actually not great, but once you mix it with foods that have a lot of flavors, the food will be transformed to the delicious scorching version of it.Just think of it like how Pokemon character Charmander evolves to the bigger, more powerful version of it, Charizard.I also mix this with my other hot sauce to make them even hotter without changing the flavor profile.Bon Appétit!

Just a few drops goes a long way. Tried a teaspoon in my bowl of soup. Next time maybe a 1/4 teaspoon. This will clear your lungs, sinuses, leave your face numb. It's all good stuff. After the heat subsides the feeling is very peaceful. Solves the Buldak shortage.

Was looking for something that I could add to my food to make it spicy without changing the dish's taste. This did pretty well. A little goes a long way and the taste is not too strong. Most extracts tend to taste bad or are too overpowering. This still has a taste but isn't crazy overpowering. One issue I had (which isn't the fault of this product) is that adding too much hurts my digestion system but adding just a little sometimes isn't spicy enough. This is more of an issue with the fact that my spicy tolerance is really high. The price of the product is great since it will take you a while to get through one of these bottles. Overall I would buy it again!

This would be good to just add spice to anything you’ve made.. it’s flavorless so just be sure that whatever you’re eating/made has good flavor and this will definitely bring up the spice level depending on how much you put

I love this stuff...in very small doses.I've purchased some smaller bottles with syringes so I can add it to food by drops as a tiny bit goes a long way and I love hot stuff.I can now keep a dropper in my purse when I go out to eat. It'll be easy to add to food that they just can't get hot enough for me.
