There is NO substitute for the Velcro brand. We purchased a cheaper brand it the adhesive was terrible and would not stick. We learned our lesson. This is working perfectly on the rockers on our chair as we don't want to scratch our hardwood floor. It is a great value for the money as it works! The old addage is true... you get what you pay for.

I bought this to gently secure a palm plant to a support rod so it could grow straighter without being tied too tightly or risking damage to the stem. I cut the tape into short strips and wrapped it loosely around the plant and the rod. I was relieved by how easy it was to adjust the tension so the plant felt supported but not constricted. Being able to open and re fasten it made repositioning simple as the plant shifted and grew, without needing to remove the adhesive each time. The adhesive backing held securely to the smooth rod and did not slip once placed. The tape cut cleanly with scissors and stayed neat without fraying. The white color blended in well and was not visually distracting among the leaves. This has been a practical way to guide plant growth while keeping the support flexible and gentle on the stem.

It is best to get name brand. I purchased some generic brand Velcro on Amazon and it was not very sticky and did not hold very well. I recommend this product because the name brand Velcro is much more sticky and reliable for holding something to a table or a wall (or wherever you want to put it). Also what I like about this product, is it gives you a roll of Velcro and you can just cut off the exact amount you need, and therefore it actually lasts a lot longer. Since you only cut the amount you need at a time.

80% of both parts of the Velcro roll works well and is sticky- 20% of the smooth part of the Velcro had no stick at all- unusable!. It was easy to separate the Velcro from the cellophane backing so that was a plus.

Used this for a recent crafting project and loved it. The velcro is well made, easy to apply, easy to cut, and sturdy. The adhesive backing is strong too. Also appreciate that the box doubled as a dispenser.

I got the beige brand-name Velcro to put a small low back cushion at waist height on my nice new vinyl office/gaming chair. After about 6 months, it fell off, taking both sides of the velcro with it. The glue on the fuzzy side had turned into a slimy gray goo. It has been difficult to get off the creme-colored chair. Trying to figure out what glue to use on it to fix it, and how to best get the existing goo off the chair and tape without damaging the chair or tape. Oddly, the hook side on the back of the cushion (with the same vinyl) is fine. This is in a room that is 73° +/- 3° year around. It seems Velcro had a bad batch and unloaded it on Amazon. ...What else could have caused it?

This Velcro product reformed exactly as described. It stays amazingly. Easy to apply. I particularly like the idea of cutting it to the length that I needed. it worked very well, and I’ve always been satisfied with the Velcro band.

La verdad es que lo usé sólo por probar a ver si realmente funcionaba, y lo puse entre 2 piezas de madera, no pesadas. Era intentar con este producto, o poner de los velcros de "ruedita" que yo ya tenía. Pues me decidí comprarlo, me sorprendió gratamente que sí me funcionó muy bien, aguantó sin problema, y a la fecha no se han desprendido. Muy buen producto!

Holds almost anything. I would say it's a must buy for all homes
